Lmfao, that's a bit drastic, but I'll bite......they "died" to get OT after the daily minimum guarantee. They "died" to have daily OT instead of after 40 each week. It happens to be after 8 here because that's what UPS has always operated under. Look at other organized industries, they don't all work 5x8, but most get daily OT. That was the fight, not for OT after 8.
Don't try to talk down to me, I'm a teamster long enough to know plenty about the history and have worked more than just one teamster job.
And the ones that actually died to get things done, died to get a 60 hour workweek instead of 90, they died to not be treated like mules and paid less than standard wages, they died to not be in trucks that were too dangerous for me to even let my mother-in-law get into, that's much less than OT after 8.
