It’s full time work. Do you have casuals in your building that work during peak?
@LagunaBrown is just an idiot parrot. Why waste anymore time responding to his/her constant lies? He/she only comes on here at contract time to push her personal agenda, not caring for the rest of the country.
She's the worst kind of so call teamster. A parasite.

Starting wage is a waste of time.

Couldn’t agree more. Wasn’t sure if she was just playing stupid or is actually that dumb.

Nah, bro, she is just a liar.
Throw it against the wall to see if anything sticks.
Whatever it takes for her to keep people from seeing that we got used as pawns again.

Lets spend less time calling names and tell us all about your Part Time Cover drivers and Part Time feeder drivers that can work 7 MONTHS a year. Holy crap! You guys doubled down on the two tier drivers and talk crap on the 22.4!!

Your telling me you let part timers work this many months in two different classifications June, July, August, the first two (2) weeks in September, and from October 15th through January 15th. and you can’t make full time jobs!!!!!!

Go ahead Call me some more names because you can’t defend that garbage. If your voting down the national because of 22.4’s you are a hypocrite if you don’t vote down your supplements too.

Thank you for inviting me to look at your lopsided contract. Bad move because you know I will call that BS out. You know how many people are gonna read this all because of you.

I think I could change my mind.
Need to double check my numbers.

In the Southern if you go TCD > 22.4 > RPCD you will make up to $60000 more in your first 8 years then if you were to go strait into RCPD from PT. Depending on how long you are stuck in TCD/22.4.

Also cover drivers get red circled at 75% of top driver rate and start at a high progression if the go to a 22.4 job. It’s complicated but an interesting dynamic.

@Pizza Something about double rate if forced more than 60 is a factor?

I just used straight hours. This is best case with only 1 year as PT TCD and 4 year 22.4.
I just used .70 as raise per year past this contract

Wait, there is a job class “part time feeder driver”? We only have feeder drivers, and backup feeder drivers which part timers can bid on.

Stop, just stop! People died to offer you overtime after 8 hours. Now you say screw them by allowing UPS to work you 10 hours at straight time?

Lmfao, that's a bit drastic, but I'll bite......they "died" to get OT after the daily minimum guarantee. They "died" to have daily OT instead of after 40 each week. It happens to be after 8 here because that's what UPS has always operated under. Look at other organized industries, they don't all work 5x8, but most get daily OT. That was the fight, not for OT after 8.

Don't try to talk down to me, I'm a teamster long enough to know plenty about the history and have worked more than just one teamster job.

And the ones that actually died to get things done, died to get a 60 hour workweek instead of 90, they died to not be treated like mules and paid less than standard wages, they died to not be in trucks that were too dangerous for me to even let my mother-in-law get into, that's much less than OT after 8.

Was the fight not to get time away from work and OT was the penalty to promote that?

Everything is a huge step up in the south when a contract comes out. Sounds more like you guys need to stop settling for what's handed to you and ask for more for once.

My building is sitting on 5 can of air that will be processed tomorrow. I wonder if that video that Tony posted took into account the lack of care the company has for profit. No, just instead we should take what we are fed.
