where is the loyalty for those of us who have spent over half out lives making the company what it is today? UPS is not in the red. Agreed the growth may not be what it use to be but it is still profitable. When I first started working for the company, they cared about the litlle guy. Not anymore. We are all valuable to the company, everyone of us.

suz, I, like everone on this board (management or union) very much appreciate all the hard work you have done for UPS, and I am confident you will be taken care of like most of the people in my district.

the writing is on the wall....if we continue down this path without a radical change in our business, we will not turn a profit in the US in about 10 years, maybe less, much less. i've seen the graphs.

i was helping YOU out during peak. how about you do the same? I was a helper, package runner, and I had to fricken deliver a few because you were too busy to meet me.

edit: JBFC...it's a LEAD not like you are doing anything besides saying "hey, packages over there" you all seem to think that would mean more work for YOUR truck. no no no. more packages, mean more routes, means more jobs.

My district had another 2 get collapsed into mine so alot of mgmnt got the axe, so this peak nobody from district office came out to help us. Local BD didnt help either.

The sales force at UPS is not required to go to everyone of their customers everyday like you are. As usually another driver that thinks he know how Business Development functions, but really has no idea....

How about swinging by once a year to a customer? Too much to ask?

I just hope to God it includes the Hodgskin CACH Admin Guy that is over 50 and can't type, is a chain-smoker, can't answer the phones, etc.....

Sorry to hear that. Myself and all other sales people were required to come in at 6:00 am on Xmas Eve. I guess each district is different...

yep 1800 gone. 1100 top level management. the rest will probably be clerical hourly

Not exactly -- 1800 managers impacted (most center-level mgr and above), 1100 offered the restructuring package, the rest will find other slots in UPS or be gone.

Most of the impacted specialists, admin, and technical reductions will be achieved through attrition etc.

This is hitting the center-level managers and up the hardest. But, unlike us, most will get a nice restructuring package.

Once again you don't know what you are talking about...I get to work in the morning before most of the drivers. I am still working long after most drivers end their day... Drivers are lucky, when you clock out for the day your job is over until the next morning. I am on call 24/7...You don't take your package car home with you...

We don't take our package car home, but we do take our bad knees, back, hurt shoulder and our tired ass home everyday.

you are sooooo short sighted....more business benefits everyone. you do realize because of the economy most sales people havent made our compenstion (which is supposidly part of our salary) in two years....but you guys got your raises, two years in a row!

I went into sales because I decided to work by using my brain. not by using my knees, back, and shoulder.

So why did you go into package delivery? Couldn't get into sales?
