wow I would have to drive until Im 65 is that even possible? lol are there people that old that still drive?
Most drivers are retired by age 60.
Unless they can get an article 22 job. or a porter job.
I think most drivers retire before 65. Most retire around 55 depending on when they started.
There are plenty of combo jobs you can get after being here for a while. Marty Peters was in his 80 's when he retired.

well if it takes 10 years to get to fulltime and I put 30 years in fulltime I would be 66 I dont think my body could do that type of work at that age

Combo job bids are very few and far apart. Take a big cut in pay to load trailers for 8 hours in the middle of the night.

Thats not a bad idea I been thinking about that. Ive heard the CDL test is pretty hard? Isnt the book they give you to study like a foot thick?

I am 58 and I think the job just gets easier the older you are. Maybe that's just me.

The job gets a lot easier when you are there because you want to be and not because you have to be there. Of course being PT makes a big difference.

There is no simple answer. It depends on where you worked, number of years, age (and probably the phases of the moon). There is more than one way of calculating benefits and you would get the one that would give you the greatest amount.
