41.8%!!!!! I doubt any contract will ever get over 50%, we are all screwed from here on out.Taken directly from the 710 website.
Your contract passed by 66.57% with 41.8% of the eligible members voting. Your contract is in effect from August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2023. Monetary improvements are retroactive to August 1, 2018, and members will receive backpay in a timely fashion.
Until people get pissed off enough to come out and vote, by then we’ll be negotiating for scraps, and it will be too late.41.8%!!!!! I doubt any contract will ever get over 50%, we are all screwed from here on out.
Part timers won’t ever care enough to vote in any significant numbers.Until people get off enough to come out and vote, by then we’ll be negotiating for scraps, and it will be too late.

Look what happened at UPS freight.
They talked a good game.... until the company emptied the system of freight.
And then, it was like "Oh " we might be on strike.
Vote yes !
(which they did)
By no means am I saying full timers have 100% turnout but I’m confident if you look at the numbers ft turnout trumps pt big time.Look what happened at UPS freight.

Negotiating for scraps ?
Hate to tell you;
I talked with full time driver's.... that had no clue.... that the contact was up
for vote, and what the issues were. Some people come to work, and go home.
You can't blame it all, on the part-timers.
And, if you have ever been to a vote count....
Just look at all the returned ballots from bad addresses.

Freight voted down the first offer and the company came back with a better offer which they then accepted.

And you believe that? I asked the BA. We will see...I believe you heard him wrong.
He said you will get back pay "from" August.
Local 710 PO said you will get your checks in a timely manner.
Need to start holding parking lot meetings down at the local weed dispensary....we have to start thinking outside the box here...Part timers won’t ever care enough to vote in any significant numbers.
