I agree.

But I don’t think this means concessions elsewhere just because they gave us “gradual” A/C.

I think you will all pay dearly for it in the long run in the form of extra work because you will be working more "comfortably". UPS does nothing "just for the good of their employees." They always have an ulterior motive--which is usually getting more work out of you bums.

Don’t think so. In this case, I think it was the bad PR from last summer plus the cost to delete A/C on future package cars where it is now a standard feature.
