No, I’m a prime example of public schooling.
I was in gt classes through elementary and middle school. By highschool I was hardly there and still graduated early once I got sent to reform school for absences.

Everyone plead guilty and their parents were told to go to the clerk and pay their fine. My
Mom didn’t have money for that, so when they asked me I said not guilty.
They never set a court date and I was never fined. It clicked in my head that it’s all bull
and extortion. Public schools are a giant scam.

Not really. I still kind of see it as unnecessary debt. I wish companies would educate you directly and not make you waste time going to college. I wish I could work for free while learning from them.

But that's not about public schools, maybe that's about your mama.
I was making 'omelets' by myself at age 4 because my mother was a night-shift nurse.
I'm a latch-key kid, times 10.
School is just school, you dig it or you don't, but don't blame school for whatever you're feeling.

I think we're moving out of the 'got to go to college to make anything of yourself' mindset and into a more realistic situation, where maybe you go to trade school, or get an apprenticeship to be an electrician, plumber, etc.
Maybe you take two years of low-cost community college and go from there, but the world doesn't need more English BA's.
We need English BA's, no doubt, but don't get one if you should have been a contractor or an electrician.
Or a Plumber, it's crazy work, but they make MAD MONEY.

It’s why I liked Sharpe’s proposals for New York schools. Throwing that money back at the feds and regulating the schools by the needs of the state.
Not trying to turn them into puppy mills for the colleges to cash in those guaranteed student loans or having your universities teach
no one should be majoring in just so more people will like college is for them. Public schools are bull
, the amount of people spending their senior years applying for colleges they had no business trying to attend was crazy. I went straight into the work force and most those people are drop outs now with loans they still got to pay back or tax dollars flushed down the drain in grant money.

Coincidentally, I did wear two left shoes during a photography workshop.
I was known as Leftie for a couple of months.
I had two pair of the same shoes and in the dark (5a.m.), I just did not notice.
