Abortion

"Under the Reproductive Health Act, non-doctors are now allowed to conduct abortions and the procedure could be done until the mother's due date if the woman's health is endangered or if the fetus is not viable. The previous law only allowed abortions after 24 weeks of pregnancy if a woman's life was at risk."

Fox News: New York 'celebrates' legalizing abortion until birth as Catholic bishops question Cuomo's faith
The difference being now it's "if health is at risk" but before it was "if life is at risk." Essentially if a woman wants an abortion and can get a healthcare professional to sign off that her health is at risk then she'll get it. Think the folks at Planned Parenthood are going to have qualms signing off on it? A full term baby will have all kinds of parts to sell. And they are doing that so don't tell me otherwise. And yes, I did read yesterday that it was for any reason, but I can see the difference now, thanks for clarifying that. But essentially if a woman wants to end a pregnancy in New York she can now do it at any time with compliant health professionals.

It's a matter for those who LIVE in New York to decide.

And yet it always seem to be men who get all bent out of shape about it. They are the ones who blow up clinics and shoot abortion doctors. Men-----stay out of it---it's a womans decision.
And if the father of the baby doesn't want it aborted?

I know plenty of women who absolutely hate abortion. Knew a lady who was told she might die in childbirth if she didn't abort her baby. She died rather than harm her child. To many of us it's that important. Not just another ho-hum decision.

Oh I'm not saying some women aren't against it. I'm saying its always the guys who go off the deep end and take a life.

Men shouldn't do that but is the irony lost on you that you point out men take a life when women are taking millions of lives?

I love a good abortion argument. Its fun watching guys preach how they know what's best for women.
I think it is ironic that the one's protesting abortion are the same one's decrying the effect of poor people and Blacks on society.
The book Freakanomics outlines the increase of abortions after Rowe versus Wade and the consequent decrease in crime as these aborted deplorables would have reached later teen years.

I know when to mind my own business and stay out of Women's issues if that's what you are getting at
Just more moral decay but what the hell, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says it's all over in 12 years anyways. So everyone screw yourselves silly while you still can, and let the pro's handle those nasty little side effects. What, me worry?
