Same old thing out of you. Always pointing the finger at someone else who is receiving benefits and never stop to consider how much in the way of public benefits you've consumed or will likely consume going forward. it's always the other guy.You justify what you get by calling it a "safety net" while the benefits the other guys gets is in your opinion wasteful spending.
Explain the benefits received by illegals...…..they aren't suppose to even get them!!

kind of like when you speak to the rights of the woman to have an abortion while the other guy in this case the baby is denied his rights to live.
I'll tell you once again more restrictive abortion rights would be fine with me provided there was a commitment from the pro lifers to fund the expansion in public child care services, health, nutrition, education ,etc in behalf of the scores of unwanted kids born into impoverished conditions and to parents who flat out don't know any better. Protecting the lives of the unborn? Now what are you going to do to protect the lives of the unborn after they've been born?.....Well....nothing.
In fact your monarch president proposes to make major cuts in programs designed to protect their well being. If you don't believe me contact your congressman and ask for a summary of Trump's 2020 proposed budget .
if the pro lifers want to make their religion driven convictions rule of law fine because they'll be paying for it right out of their own checking accounts in the very near future to fund the actual dollar cost
amount of their convictions whether it's at the federal, state or local level. And when confronted with the bill what choice will they have but to get out their wallets? Back your convictions with dollars not diatribe and you might get what you want.

YOU SIMPLY CANNOT DO THIS ON THE CHEAP !

No doofus, I'm talking about others when I say safety net. Don't have a problem with helping those in need. Not aware that I've received anything from the Federal government other than their duty to protect the country.

The world needs a good deadly plague for a year or so. Too many people here now.
When the world's population was about 7 billion read you could put everyone in an area the size of Texas and each person would have around 1500 square feet of personal space. Crowded cities, sure. But still lots of space in the world.

PITTSBURGH — An anti-abortion congressman asked a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair to get an abortion when he thought she might be pregnant, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said it obtained text messages between Republican U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania and Shannon Edwards. A Jan. 25 text message from Edwards said the congressman had “zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options,” according to the paper.

From a pro-life perspective, why does Canada have fewer abortions per capita despite more lax abortion laws?

We do not have less restrictive abortion laws, we have no, zero, abortion laws.

We have agreed as a society that a woman, any woman, has the right to choose what happens to her body.

We do many things differently.

  1. We do not teach abstinence in schools, instead we teach safe sex.
  2. Birth control is widely available and often free at public health units.
  3. We have publicly funded health care so young women can receive information on contraception from their doctor.
  4. Pregnancy is a protected employment class, no employer in Canada can fire a woman for being pregnant.
  5. Our health care covers all prenatal, delivery, postnatal care for mother and baby.
  6. If a woman does not want to, or for health reasons should not be pregnant, our health care covers abortion costs.
  7. Our federal unemployment program provides one year of paid maternal, paternal leave that can be shared by both parents. It is not a cost to the employer.
  8. A woman has a guaranteed right to return to her workplace after her maternity leave. Her job is secure.
  9. Our public welfare system supports single mothers with enough food, housing and medical care to ensure their safety and well being.
  10. We have outstanding medical outcomes for women and babies in terms of complications and mortality.
  11. Religion and politics are kept firmly separate. People only discuss religion and their beliefs with very close personal friends.
  12. Religion and medical care are kept separate. A physician can choose not to provide an abortion provided there is a nearby alternate
In short, we have a more balanced, supportive and protective society made up of some of the best educated citizens in the world.

Well, that’s it, right there.

If you’re anti-abortion, stop screaming about sex-ed, contraception, and public health.

Make fun of Canada, but they’re doing it right.
