And in that respect, I suppose, at least some measure of justice was served. His marriage failed, he is almost certainly unemployable and near bankruptcy, and his life is in danger everywhere except for, probably, Montana or northern Idaho.

He should never have been charged with murder. The evidence simply was not there to support the charge. He was certainly negligent and he made a dumb mistake and had Al and Jesse allowed the prosecution to offer him some sort of plea bargain he may very well have taken it, done his time, forfeited his right to own guns, and soon been forgotten. Instead, we had a divisive and racially charged trial that rightly resulted in an acquittal and a man who still has his gun and who will spend the rest of his life looking fearfully over his shoulder at every black guy he sees. Way to go, Al and Jesse!

Saw a suspicious person --followed him --and called 911.

Conversation with 911 lasted four minutes --police asked for exact location and told George to back off.

In four minutes Trayvon could have walked away ---HIS mistake --his Negligence ?????

Over 50% of gun murders in the U.S are committed by young Black men.
If you realize that Blacks make up 12.6 of the total population ---subtract the old, the women the law abiding black people ----the percent of young Black males committing murder and crime is enormous.
