Better. All has to do with the definition of "is" with respect to the root "be". In fact your former post would read in essence "Stupid is as stupid is" since "is" is the present form of "(to) be".

It appears Zimmerman's actions post trial are not helping his cause, and this new ordeal is helping to keep his name in the press isn't in his best interests. With that being said the result of the Trayvon case was still the right one in my opinion. That is unless some new evidence directly related to the case surfaces proving otherwise.

Actually there were other eye witnesses all of which supported Zimmerman's version of the events.
