I never said current FT drivers would take a pay cut.

I'm not sure exactly what is coming, but something is coming down the pipe. We got word of it this week and they're changing the trailer forecasting system due to an "Upcoming service enhancement"Weren't you the one who predicted a two tier wage last contract and that we would all be taking a $10/HR pay cut to $25/HR max?
Your predictions on ups are never right.
If they do run Saturday ground, it'll be a separate service from regular ground. They probably run it in conjunction like the Saturday air operations are now.
It means more when it comes from a veteran driver such as myself.
Honestly weekends off are a huge part of what makes this job worth it.We were told we would be starting a ground operation on Saturdays within the next 6 months and within two years UPS would be 7 days a week. This was at our union meeting today
Wonder if that would take the Sat surcharge off the air packages.I'm not sure exactly what is coming, but something is coming down the pipe. We got word of it this week and they're changing the trailer forecasting system due to an "Upcoming service enhancement"
Could be anything. But if I was a betting man, it would be Saturday ground
That's the truth though. How are you gonna offer ground without a seperate up charge?Wonder if that would take the Sat surcharge off the air packages.
Yeah, right.

If you have a family, then Saturdays off are an absolute necessity
One day with your family may be enough for you, but not for me
Depending on how this goes down, routes might be have to be rebid for Tue-Sat workweeks.I am the top seniority PC driver in my center so Saturdays are not going to be an issue for me.
