Yep, and going on a couple years after the pandemic was over, these guys are already burned out and starting to make bad choices and losing their jobs or quitting. No excuses for them. I’m just pointing out that these guys that just recently got to scale in the last year or so are starting to Have some issues. This is a marathon, not a race.
I fought and clawed for years. I no longer have to fight but I’m still in the ring.
It’s not an easy job. If you want it go get it. If not get out of the way and squat on your own path.

Work preload and run out of hours. Some supplements offer triple time for over sixty.
Cash in now and then take dead days later. Control the situation. It’s not that hard.
6 days a week will not help me get to the finish line.
Go in early. I try to go in early (at OT rate) then max out the day. By Friday I run out of hours.
Looking back the last few months it’s been sporadic. Feast or famine. That’s why I always recommend to cash in when you can.
Well it sounds like you work in a small building we don't always have that option here

Locals 705/710 have always had their own stand alone contracts. They mirror the National and supplements
with a few minor tweaks thrown in. They have their own grievance procedure also.
You are spot on. I guess my advice would be to use your seniority and remember that you didn’t write the rules but you need to follow them.
Cash in when you can. The rules change at a whim. If they offer to choke you with cash then take it.

I recently switched to the T-S schedule voluntarily. Had my reasons. But definitely will be coming in for a few hours Saturdays so I can get 8+ hours of OT on Monday.

We are driver sort n load, so we had two full time cover drivers come to work the sort, found out they weren't driving, asked to be a helper to get their 8 and were told no.

I think we, union members, effed up and should have fought to abolish SSDs all together this last contract.
We just don't need em. The company over hired for covid, Amazon is delivering most of their own stuff. Staff is available, 9.5 language has been strengthened. We need to protect what's ours and get rid of SSDs in 2028.
