I've read plenty accounts of how brutal Amazon is. Just took years before someone that's a large name in media exposed them.

Unfortunately that happens at too many places. Lots of work,little pay. And treated like crap.

As a nation we are going backwards not forwards ,with wages and working conditions.

Amazon sounds like a crappy place to work but I have trouble sympathizing with some of the people complaining. Crying at the desk because their feelings are hurt? I have to wonder if people like that ever worked a real job before.

I agree though I worked at an emergency brake factory for awhile. Very tough work that got boring very fast. If you mentioned union everyone would be like shush. They will shut this place down if they hear we may go union.

Tech companies probably hire more Asians than their % of population but fewer blacks. Different but still minorities. Not the politically correct ones though.

That's what it has come down to. Then add in the bad economy and people are fearful.

Yeah. My feeling was those jobs are a dime a dozen. I could go find another within a week likely.


What would make it better? A union.

I mean these people that aren't in corporate Amazon could go find a job with equal pay and benefits no problem.

Yes it is. Many people are way underemployed. Ton of people on Welfare and SSI.
