im guilty of one of the orders, ordered an ac unit off amazon(90lbs). my apartment complex has a driveway so driver only had to
go up 2 stairs(8steps each). i waited for him knowing its coming and the time he normally passes by but this time it was a poor cover
driver, poor little guy struggled just to get it up the driveway with the handcart/dolly. the look of relieve when i went to help him up the stairs
he then for some reason decides we should carry it 30 feet to my apt door instead of using dolly. i was trying to buy a unit from
home depot but they didnt have the model i needed.

We do have some apartments were not allowed to DR

If certain units within a building/complex are flagged as a NO DR, then I would assume you should be good to DR the other units. Since UPS has designated only a few as no DR, they are stating the other units are good for DR.

Just had diad training that seemed to change the wording on proper DR procedures regarding secured apartments. Before the wording stated you could not DR secured apartments if they shared a common entrance or in shared, exposed breezeways. The new wording said the exception is breezeways and common entrances are allowable DRs if the complex is secured.

I'd send a message in the diad board letting them know I'm not going to carry that over 70 lb package up three flights of stairs. The second you end up falling down and getting injured or worse it's all on you, get assistance from customer or a fellow hourly.

You better pack a lunch if you think I'm carrying your new bed up three flights of stairs alone...tag the door leave it downstairs

Wow. I'm not blaming you. I know you're new but that's something that you should of been trained on.

Apartments duplexes businesses. Ect are not considered safe DR locations.
It'll have notes in the board saying ok to DR or not dr...some will have specific unit numbers not to DR...probably because they filed a claim in the past or something

Apartments are safe DRs as long as they're secured.

Yes I understand that but I'm curious how many is that really?

I can only think of 1 apt complex that would be considered secure where I am. Maybe it's just my area that it's not prevalent in but that's just not something I really deal with.

I can only think of 2 buildings in town here that aren't secure. Overwhelming majority are secure. Unfortunately though several buildings have turned into no DR because of sticky fingered college students.

Around here most of the Asians have signs on the door saying leave all packages. Makes it nice. Or a lot of the stuff is surepost anymore.

I have 21 properties on my route... the only way I will DR is if the pkg is surepost/shipper release

Maybe you guys have different types of apartments...this area has apartment complexes that are 60 different buildings...over 2,000 units...DR and get out...getting a signature is not a damn option unless you wanna work three days straight

Have the same thing. Brand new apt complex. 2700 units.

Guess what... 9.5 is awesome.

I follow the methods and attempt to get a sig. Takes me almost 4 hours to do them all..... easy money

You've been doing this job 6 months. Keep on running and gunning. It'll catch up to you eventually.
