Arizona's anti-imigration law...

Sorry, moreluck.

I just can't see how every single illegal citizen lives off welfare, and gets goverments subsidizes and free healthcare, free college, free housing, etc.
You tell me how that works.

Because, then I'll be moving there soon.
Federal mandates require anyone who seeks emergency medical care at any hospital is not to be turned away.Unfortunately many see that as a right to free medical care at any given time.
Several Central & Southern America countries depend upon all those funds sent back home by their citizens who work in the USA, most include those funds as part of their countries' wealth. Putting a stop to all those funds transfers would greatly help this economic downturn. $60 Billion that would stay here.

I can't help it that 50-60% of the employed there have gotten free healthcare, and the others live on emergency centers.
That is your system you have built for yourselfs. Knowing that you still need to pay for the others as well.

So you have the notion that all spanish speaking people in NY only come from other places than Mexico ?
And just how did they get here ? swim across the atlantic ocean ?
In the Boston area ( which also does not border Mexico ) I have seen a great influx of OTM (other than mexico) . I non longer can shop in several stores since they now cater to this influx.
I would suggest you listen to a police band radio , listen to several different departments, and you will repeatly hear the same things over & over; no license, doesnot understand English, no registation, no id, no other licensed operators in vehicle, need a tow, violation of a court order, DUI,and my favorite is the rap sheet (after 5 minutes ) is still being printed.
Think about the time involved with every traffic stop. That officer has to devote his attention to the impounding of the car, the paperwork, writing the tickets ( which probably will never be paid ) and trying to find out just who this operator really is. Impounding the car & selling it at auction is ( ask any police officer ) a revolving door; some other illegal will soon be driving it.
I have to carry auto insurance to cover me should I be in an accident with an uninsured motorist. That is a cost I should not have to bear. Do you have that coverage ?
Check out your local public housing rolls; does your state check the status of all they shelter ? Could someone be "stealing " a slot that some neighbor could really use ?
around here if a trooper pulls over an illegal who has no form of id whatsoever, unless it is an accident or DUI they simply let them go

That's what all the fuss is about........the government is NOT doing their job and that's why folks are upset......do you always come this late to the party?
Not at all. Just keeping you grounded in reality. You've just admitted that it is a Federal issue and Arizona has no right to enforce it's law superceding the federal statute. People can be upset all they want. And when the rest of the country decides that it warrants attention, we, the federal government will raise taxes, put boots on the ground and close the border. Until then, they can sing songs to that local folk hero Apraio.

I have no right to touch your child, but if he/she is walking in the path of the car, I'm shoving he/she out of the way because you as a parent weren't doing your job.

Brewer is just enforcing a law while B.O. looks at his teleprompters. The Fed. Gov't ISN"T doing their job, so somebody has to.

You know, it's a very simple issue, actually.
Do it like the province of Quebec, they can hold a refererdum and then break away from the USA if they win it.
Could be the first state of the USA to break away, and they could then introduce their own laws.

Border Sweeps in North Reach Miles Into U.S.

By NINA BERNSTEIN
ROCHESTER —
The Lake Shore Limited runs between Chicago and New York City without crossing the Canadian border. But when it stops at Amtrak stations in western New York State, armed Border Patrol agents routinely board the train, question passengers about their citizenship and take away noncitizens who cannot produce satisfactory immigration papers.
“Are you a U.S. citizen?” agents asked one recent morning, moving through a Rochester-bound train full of dozing passengers at a station outside Buffalo. “What country were you born in?”
When the answer came back, “the U.S.,” they moved on. But Ruth Fernandez, 60, a naturalized citizen born in Ecuador, was asked for identification. And though she was only traveling home to New York City from her sister’s in Ohio, she had made sure to carry her American passport. On earlier trips, she said, agents had photographed her, and taken away a nervous Hispanic man.

He was one of hundreds of passengers taken to detention each year from domestic trains and buses along the nation’s northern border. The little-publicized transportation checks are the result of the Border Patrol’s growth since 9/11, fueled by Congressional antiterrorism spending and an expanding definition of border jurisdiction. In the Rochester area, where the border is miles away in the middle of Lake Ontario, the patrol arrested 2,788 passengers from October 2005 through last September.
The patrol says that answering agents’ questions is voluntary, part of a “consensual and nonintrusive conversation” Some passengers agree, though they are not told that they can keep silent. But others, from immigration lawyers and university officials to American-born travelers startled by an agent’s flashlight in their eyes, say the practice is coercive, unconstitutional and tainted by racial profiling.
“It’s turned into a police state on the northern border,” said Cary M. Jensen, director of international services for the University of Rochester, whose foreign students, scholars and parents have been questioned and jailed, often because the patrol did not recognize their legal status. “It’s essentially become an internal document check.”
Domestic transportation checks are not mentioned in a report on the northern border strategy that Customs and Border Protection delivered last year to Congress, which has more than doubled the patrol since 2006, to 2,212 agents, with plans to double it again soon. The data available suggests that such stops account for as many as half the reported 6,000 arrests a year.

We ALREADY HAVE the laws....we just need someone with cajones to enforce them!!! OH-Bama isn't interested in doing his job. He has failed in his fiduciary duty to the people of this country.

So, you're telling me under the 8 years of Bush, no illegals came into the US ?

If the CIA and FBI can't work together without jurisdictional problems arising, is it any wonder that state and federal governments will run into the same issues. And Brewer, by way of the court is probably not enforcing the law for just that reason.

I hope you deport all of them.
So, americans will lose rent money, farmers will lose workers.

More forclosesures, and face the concequences of everything else.

Then I can buy a house in the US soon for 50K ! :)
Don't know about anywhere else in the US, but I do know of many nice houses in my area that are priced at $50K. But then you wouldn't like it around here so look closer to Albany.
Some Americans will indeed lose a little rent money and farmers will have to pay a little higher wage. That is the price one pays for doing business with criminals, plus there is still a temp quest workers program. I don't think there will be that many more foreclosures, maybe a few. What other consequences are you dreaming about?

Don't pay much attention do ya? I don't know how many times it has been said in this thread that the last three administrations have failed at protecting the boards. The only reason that it is become such a big deal recently is because a state..Arizona...has reached critical mass and decided to do something about the problem.
I don't remember anyone (on here) lauding GW Bush as an anti-illegal immigration champion.

some states have tried something similar to that, research the American civil war. Nice to see that you're back to inserting your anti-americanism(either saying or implying we don't things the right way or that Canada does things better) into almost everyone of your posts.
