Armed gunmen seen in Vekol Valley along I-8 may be Mexican assassins

Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 3:40PM
On Monday, a Pinal County, Ariz. sheriff's deputy spotted two Hispanic males armed with long rifles along Interstate 8 in the Vekol Valley. The men were hiding in the bush next to the road, and fled when the deputy spotted them. As they fled, one suspect dropped a backpack containing a loaded magazine and .223 caliber ammunition. Other evidence discovered at the scene indicated that a load of marijuana had recently been transferred to a vehicle. Law enforcement was unable to catch the fleeing gunmen.
As Liberty & Security Journal reported last week, Mexican drug cartels have deployed hit men to the U.S. to kill thieves who are hijacking cartel drug shipments. According to a news release from the Pinal County sheriff's office, 15 “very well equipped and armed sicarios [assassins] complete with bullet proof vests” are at large in Arizona's Vekol Valley, a heavily-used drug smuggling corridor just 30 miles south of Phoenix.

Why try to CATCH the fleeing gunmen, to put them in jail and PAY for their care and food? (Yeah, I know we're already paying for it). The cops should have just shot them, repeat until you kill all of them (Mexican ARMED drug dealers) just keep ono shooting....Let them sell their drugs elsewhere

The integrity of our elections is of no importance to the Federal government. Apparently the gov't thinks it's OK for non-citizens to vote.

AZ. would like I.D. to be shown first. I agree with AZ. I don't think being a citizen is too much to ask for you to vote in the country. I don't vote in Argentinian elections or Mexican elections.

I am not sure what this is all about.... We have to show our Voter Registration Card and our driver license in order to vote here in AZ. Of course, being a citizen, the process to me is transparent.

I had heard on TV that AZ. wanted voters to show ID when they go to vote and some judge said that wasn't necessary. So, maybe there will be voter fraud is what they were worried about.

Figures. Harry Reid Replaces National Anthem With Indian Song (Audio)

Posted by Jim Hoft

Barbara Simpson reported this on a rally for Harry Reid last night on her KSFO talk show in San Francisco. Barbara had this report from a Harry Reid rally with VP Joe Biden this week at the University of Reno. When the audience was asked to stand for the National Anthem a native American-Indian came out and spoke in her native language and then sang an Indian song in lieu of the National Anthem.
That’s strange… No media outlets reported on this?

133-page warrant details scope of alleged family theft ring
Family in ICE custody; items and cash seized now exceed $200,000

The cash seized and items stolen by a family theft ring now exceed $200,000 and the brazen operation includes walking out of stores with items as small as towels and as large as a doghouse, according to a 133-page search warrant filed by New Mexico State Police.
The three-month surveillance operation on the Santa Fe family detailed in the search warrants indicates the family routinely stole merchandise in broad daylight by using employee exits, often from stores in Albuquerque malls, put items in their vehicles, then walked back into stores for more.
Among the stolen items listed in the search warrant return include: a $1,195 Portofino dress jacket; 50 baseball caps valued at $30 each; Apple laptop computers and various video-game systems; several hundred pieces of Victoria Secret lingerie; a $199.50 Buzz Lightyear toy; dozens of Coach purses; a $149.99 ski suit from Baby Gap; makeup, cologne and other toiletries; and two boxes of Gas X antigas pills.
In addition to the thousands of stolen items, police also seized $8,768.28 in cash from those arrested, including 111 $2 bills and $1,661.47 .
the five charged in the crime ring are Jesus J. Garcia, 31; Cristella Garcia-Muñoz, 26; Maria Muñoz, either 61 or 52; Raul Muñoz-Uribe, 31; and Roal Muñoz-Uribe, 32. All five were charged Oct. 19 with receiving stolen property and posted $5,000 bonds last week and were released from the Santa Fe County jail, according to jail records. State police say all five are undocumented immigrants from Mexico and are still in custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

18 dead found in Mexico mass grave shown in video

By SERGIO FLORES, Associated Press Sergio Flores, Associated Press – Thu Nov 4, 4:26 pm ET
ACAPULCO, Mexico – Forensic investigators searched for more hidden graves Thursday near where they had already found 18 badly decomposed cadavers that are suspected to belong to Mexican tourists who had set out for Acapulco.
Guarded by soldiers and marines, the investigators used long metal poles to probe the ground in a coconut palm grove in the community of Tuncingo, just east of Acapulco. An anonymous tip led police to the bodies of two men there on Wednesday.
Beside the bodies was were signs that said investigators would find the remains of 20 men — most of them mechanics — who vanished on Sept. 30 after setting out from the neighboring state of Michoacan for a few days off in Acapulco.

Berkeley won’t impound cars for 30 days

By Doug Oakley
Berkeley Voice

Illegal immigrants pulled over for minor traffic violations in Berkeley will no longer have their cars impounded for 30 days, thanks to a new police policy here.
Berkeley police Chief Michael Meehan agreed to the change last month and is now training officers on the new policy, he said.
City Manager Phil Kamlarz said in a memo to city staff that “This policy will prevent those who simply cannot get a driver’s license, in many cases due to their immigration status, from having their vehicles impounded …”

Meehan said the new policy was not necessarily designed to make it easier on illegal immigrants, but will benefit anyone who “never got a license for whatever reason” and is designed to “balance safety and a reasonable level of law enforcement.”
The new policy gives officers discretion whether to impound a car for 30 days, a situation which can cost the car’s owner about $2,500 in fees. Cars still will be towed at the officers discretion but not held for 30 days.
Members of Berkeley Organizing Congregations for Action said they have been lobbying the police department for two years for the change to make it easier on some of their members who are illegal immigrants. California requires proof of legal presence in the United States to get a driver’s license.

Those people should not be afraid to drive without a license.” In addition to changing the policy, Ibarra said Meehan has pledged to train his officers and employees to be more sensitive to the needs of illegal immigrants who need to drive but technically cannot.

Renowned Philanthropist Pays Illegal Immigrants to Return Home

Says Reid’s re-election could hurt unemployed Americans
NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ —
The Coalition to Protect American Workers (CPAW), headed by philanthropist Henry Buhl, is the only full time humanitarian alternative to Federal detention and deportation for illegal immigrants. CPAW pays illegal immigrants seeking voluntary repatriation to return home.
Now that Harry Reid has been re-elected, if he proposes an amnesty bill during the lame duck session of congress, the consequences of this will be disastrous for unemployed Americans.
“There are currently between 4-6 million illegal immigrants working in the United States,” Buhl says. “A successful amnesty bill will take away desperately needed jobs for Americans at lower prices.”
Life for illegal immigrants can be quite grim. Instead of living the American dream, many live in impoverished conditions and cannot find employment. Many want to return home, but cannot because they lack resources and fear the government. Yet they would readily welcome private assistance to repatriate.

This is what i would expect from a ultra Liberal college and it is California...so...
City Manager Phil Kamlarz said in a memo to city staff that “This policy will prevent those who simply cannot get a driver’s license, in many cases due to their immigration status, (um...thier illegal so who gives a crap...they should not be here anyways) from having their vehicles impounded …”
Lets see...no DL, which means no insurance...
Meehan said the new policy was not necessarily designed to make it easier on illegal immigrants, (really?) but will benefit anyone who “never got a license for whatever reason” (What?) and is designed to “balance safety and a reasonable level of law enforcement.” (funny...he said "Law Enforcement"...)
Those people should not be afraid to drive without a license (why should they be afraid...California and our govt cater to the illegals...and people wonder why Cali is so far in debt).” In addition to changing the policy, Ibarra said Meehan has pledged to train his officers and employees to be more sensitive to the needs of illegal immigrants (dont what to hurt the illegals feelings now do we) who need to drive (walk or take the bus...better yet go back to your country) but technically cannot.
