I don’t happen to believe in coincidences. Do you?

How do you equate immigrants with these statistics?

THIS IS THE MOST VIOLENT COUNTRY ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. "WE" kill more of our own citizens than any other country each year with the exception of the sudan.

You could kick out every illegal alien in the country, and we would still be the most violent place on earth in a domesticated society.

Hey, but give everyone more guns! That will help! lOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Battles, Tanks, Missiles, but no Insurgency in Mexico?

Battles, Tanks, Missiles, but no Insurgency in Mexico

Written by Hannah Stone and Jen Sokatch

Refugees fleeing towns to escape the fighting, corpses strewn on the road after a battle between rival groups, and combat involving tanks, high-caliber guns, and anti-aircraft missiles — the events of one week have made parts of Mexico seem like full-fledged war zones.
On Wednesday, Mexican authorities came upon the aftermath of a battle that had taken place at a crossroads in Nayarit state, on the Pacific coast. At least 28 men lay dead, and four wounded, after what appears to have been a lengthy gun battle between rival factions. Adding to the sense of a country at war, many of the corpses looked like government soldiers, wearing combat uniforms complete with helmets. High-caliber weapons were found scattered around the scene.

Campaign Seeks to Halt U.S.-Mexico Arms Flow

MEXICO CITY – Mexican and U.S. grassroots groups have launched a campaign demanding that President Barack Obama enact three measures to stop illegal arms trafficking to Mexico.
Organizers plan to spend four months collecting signatures that will then be handed over to Obama, Alianza Civica, a grassroots group led by academic Sergio Aguayo, said.
Alianza Civica is one of the organizations leading this movement.
The first demand being made of Obama is an immediate ban on imports of assault rifles into the United States “because most are (later) sent as contraband to Mexico,” the groups said.
The groups also want the U.S. leader to order vendors to report to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or ATF, the sale of several assault rifles to the same person.
And finally, the groups want Obama to “increase the regulatory capability of the ATF in regions known to supply contraband weapons to Mexico, particularly border states.
The grassroots groups said their demands are based on official U.S. and Mexican statistics showing that “arms smuggling from the United States strengthens organized crime in Mexico, since 84 percent of weapons that are confiscated come from the neighboring country to the north.”

Hypocritically, U.S. Allows Gun Running to Mexico

Hypocritically, U.S. Allows Gun Running to Mexico

By Allan Wall

Mexico is awash in weapons, many of which are used in drug cartel violence. This is a big problem, but much of the rhetoric on both sides of the border has been unhelpful and counterproductive.
Both Mexico’s Calderon administration and the U.S. Obama administration blame U.S. gun shops for the proliferation of guns in Mexico. This concerns American firearms owners who think it may be used as an excuse to take away their gun rights.
The gun smuggling problem is part of the lack of border security. For various reasons, neither the U.S. nor the Mexican government really wants to secure the U.S.-Mexican border. Otherwise it would have already happened. If the political will existed, the U.S. government would have secured it long ago.
The Mexican government wants to have it both ways. Mexican leaders complain about any sort of border control restricting the movement of Mexican illegal aliens northward. Yet they also complain that guns are being smuggled southward.
You can’t have it both ways. If the border is porous, it is porous for illegal aliens, drug smugglers, arms smugglers and terrorists. In reality, the unsecured border is a threat to both the U.S. and Mexico.

Mexico doesn't want their own people!

Three cheers for Arizona !

The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora , Mexico do not like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny.

The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico !!!

Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona 's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico . It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off.

A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona 's new 'Employer Sanctions Law' will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora, - Arizona's southern neighbor - made up of mostly small towns - can not handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.

The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes Arizona employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States . Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license.

The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on THEIR state government.

'How can Arizona pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales . 'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,' she said, speaking in Spanish. 'Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and who were sending money to their families return to their hometowns in Sonora without jobs,' she said 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona .

Wrong! The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico , and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico 's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop feeding parasitically off the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs.

Too bad that other states within the USA don't pass a law just like that passed by Arizona . Maybe that's the answer, since our own Congress will do nothing!

***New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...***
1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.
2. All ballots will be in this nation's language.
3. All government business will be conducted in our language.
4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office.
6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.
7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
9. Foreigners may have NO protests; NO demonstrations, NO waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, NO bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.
10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted and, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

Too strict? ***The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO !***

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.

An idea whose time has come:

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform...in all of its forms.

Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. The self-serving must stop.

Is the U.S. Govt. Arming Mexican Narco-Terrorists?

America’s Third War: Is the U.S. Arming Mexican Cartels?
If you ever watch video or look at pictures of the drug war in Mexico, you’ll notice some pretty heavy weapons. This is a war being waged with rockets and plastic explosives, not pea shooters and Saturday Night Specials. Consider these incidents:
- A M26A2 fragmentation grenade used against a U.S. Consulate in Mexico in 2008
- Explosive projectiles and 21 grenades found during a raid in Guadalupe
- An unexploded grenade and pull ring used to attack a TV station in Monterrey
- Automatic weapons, including U.S.-made M16s, found at a cartel crime scene in May 2009
- U.S. military-issued ammunition found in a cartel raid in Reynosa in November 2008
You can’t buy this stuff at a U.S. gun store. So where do the cartels get it? According to leaked diplomatic cables, there are three sources.
1. U.S. Defense Department shipments to Latin America, known and tracked by the U.S. State Department as “foreign military sales.”
2. Weapons ordered by the Mexican government, tracked by the State Department as “direct commercial sales.”
3. Aging, but plentiful arsenals of military weapon stores in Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
Even though these facts were well-known by the Obama administration, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder, it blamed much of the violence in Mexico on U.S. gun stores.
“More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our border,” President Obama said in February 2009.
That was contested, but few listened to gun store owners and former vets like Lynn Kartchner, owner of Allsafe Security, a gun shop in Douglas, Ariz.
“We in the gun industry knew from Day One the allegations that the preponderance of sales came from gun stores like this one was totally not true,” Kartchner said.
In fact, many of these weapons are getting to Mexico via the U.S. government. Tens of thousands of firearms and explosives are sold legally through the U.S. State Department to the Mexican government. These weapons are then funneled to the traffickers and cartels by corrupt officials within the Mexico Ministry of Defense and local and state police departments.

You know, I was thinking....that old White house has been around for a long time. I think the Wash. D.C. area has had the privilege of being home to presidents for awhile. When I look at a map, I was kind of looking at the opposite of where D.C. is located...... not directly, but south & west of there.

I propose we build a brand new luxurious White House in Bisbee, Arizona. I think we can kill 2 birds with one act. Make a nice and modern new residence for the first family and finally get those borders secured !!! I would think land would be relatively cheap around there.

PHOENIX -- When Dan Bell looks out onto the sprawling ranch that makes up his family's ZZ Cattle Company, he sees smoke and smoldering mountains."I've never seen a year like this," said Bell. The 70,000-acre Murphy Complex Fire burning through the Coronado National Forest south of Tucson is the latest of seven fires since March that have burned through land on Bell's ranch. He estimates two-thirds of the ranch's grazing acres are now charred."There was nothing to really cause these fires to start, so one has to think that it has to be associated with illegal activity that's going on around the border," said Bell. The ranch is located just north of the Arizona border with Mexico, and Bell said he believes the fires were set by illegal immigrants as they camped or signaled for help.Five miles away, a helicopter reloaded its payload of water from Pena Blanca lake as wildland firefighters watched."The fuels are very dry and it's hot and windy. It takes just a spark to land in the grass, and then it's off to the races," said Jason Cress, who works for the U.S. Forest Service.Fire investigators are not saying much about how the Murphy Fire started, other than to confirm it was human-caused."It's currently under investigation. Beyond that, I don't know anything further," said Gary Roberts, who is acting as the lead public information officer for the Murphy Complex Fire. The fire is burning through a well-known smuggling route. It's the same area where Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was shot and killed by suspected bandits in December. As a result, firefighters are given a safety brief when they arrive on scene."That is another consideration that we do keep in the back of our minds, but we do feel that we get solid safety briefings and we just have a fire out here that we need to put out," said Roberts.Even as firefighters worked to extinguish hot spots, a lone Border Patrol vehicle sat atop a charred hill, overlooking the area. It's a reminder that authorities still consider the area an active smuggling zone.Back at the ZZ Cattle Company, Dan Bell worried about when he's going to be able to round up displaced cattle and wondered when the next fire will strike."You just never know what you're going to come across day by day. You may come across immigrants coming through, or you may come across smugglers with weapons," said Bell.

Mexicans protest against Alabama’s new anti-illegal immigration law

Outrage continued Friday in Mexico a day after Alabama’s governor signed the toughest law in the United States against illegal immigration.
The law would impose criminal penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants, give local police broad powers to arrest anyone they suspect of entering the United States without a visa and compel public schools to check the immigration status of students.
Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing “deep concern” over Alabama law HB 56. The statement said the law could violate the civil rights of Mexicans.

Schools Will Obey New Alabama Immigration Law

Morton: schools will obey new Ala. immigration law

BOB JOHNSON

Alabama schools Superintendent Joe Morton says his staff is developing guidelines to share with local principals and teachers on what they need to do to comply with a tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.
A bill passed by the Legislature and signed into law by Bentley Thursday includes language requiring schools to report the immigration status of students. Morton said Friday that state schools would comply with the provisions of the new law.
“I think I have built my career around following the law and we will follow this one,” Morton said. He said the new law requires him to interpret the requirements of the statute before the new law takes effect Sept. 1.

McDonnell presses feds for state immigration-enforcement authority

By Paige Winfield Cunningham

Gov. Bob McDonnell said Friday the federal government is taking too long to decide whether some Virginia police officers should be authorized to deport illegal immigrants.
Last August, the governor asked the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to allow a group of 28 select officers to deport illegal immigrants who have engaged in terrorism, committed major drug and gang offenses, committed violent crimes like murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery and kidnapping, or found driving while intoxicated.
On Friday, he released a letter he sent last month to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano last month, petitioning for speedy approval.
“We have patiently waited nine months for formal approval and the time to act is now,” Mr. McDonnell said in the letter. “Virginia meets all the qualifications and has proven to be an excellent partner state and I ask you to approve our application without further delay.”

ohhh look, Alabama getting the toughest immigration laws ! Should we start a new thread ?
Starting Sept 1st, it will become mandatory to prove citizenship to go to school in Alabama !

Wow, isn't that harsh ? Something liberal, socialist Canada always had in place !

klein

Für Meno :)
So then why are so many Liberal Americans against it then?

Don't ask me, but I sure wouldn't want to pay for illegal immigrants going to our schools, or even using our healthcare.
Your laws are so outdated and never went with the times.
Now, if they were changed overnight it would create huge problems.

So, maybe start with a basic enrollment form for grade 1 ?

That's what happens if you delay everything, just like the National Debt Crisis. It will become a fiasco, too.
