Horne seeks $1.2 million from Ajo school district for enrolling students from Mexico by Jennifer Thomas
PHOENIX — The state Department of Education is calling on the Ajo Unified School District to return $1.2 million of state funding, saying the district illegally provided free education to Mexican students.

State schools Superintendent Tom Horne released audit findings that demonstrate the district illegally enrolled non-Arizona resident students at a total cost of nearly $1.2 million from fiscal years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The issue here is not citizenship or documentation, but residency,” Horne stated. “In this case, 105 students were claiming to live in Arizona, when in fact they reside in Mexico.”
Horne said children cross the border daily and take buses to the public schools in Ajo where they have been educated at the expense of Arizona taxpayers.

Horne said the auditors determined that students were claiming residency in uninhabitable trailers, vacant RV spaces and an abandoned motel in Lukeville.
“This practice must stop and I intend to ask that the district refund the money to the taxpayers,” Horne said

“Major Human Rights Crisis,” Confronts Illegal Aliens—In Mexico!

Mexico’s despicable treatment of Latino illegal aliens is s called a “major human rights crisis” by Amnesty International.
“The group’s report comes at a sensitive time for Mexico, which is protesting the passage of a law in Arizona that criminalizes undocumented migrants.
“Rupert Knox, Amnesty’s Mexico researcher, said in the report that the failure by authorities to tackle abuses against migrants has made their trip through Mexico one of the most dangerous in the world.
“Migrants in Mexico are facing a major human rights crisis leaving them with virtually no access to justice, fearing reprisals and deportation if they complain of abuses,” Knox said
“Central American migrants are frequently pulled off trains, kidnapped en masse, held at gang hideouts and forced to call relatives in the U.S. to pay off the kidnappers. Such kidnappings affect thousands of migrants each year in Mexico, the report says.
“Many are beaten, raped or killed in the process.
“One of the main issues, Amnesty says, is that migrants fear they will be deported if they complain to Mexican authorities about abuses.
“At present, Article 67 of Mexico’s Population Law says, “Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal ... are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country, before attending to any issues.”

What the MSM won’t tell you about about the rancher killed in Arizona by a cartel assassin

Letter to the Editor
As you know, one of our local ranchers, Bob Krentz, an R-CALF member, was murdered in Douglas, AZ, two weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement. Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880. These are good people. He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you won’t read in the papers. The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico .
Bob Krentz was checking his water like he does every evening and came upon an illegal lying on the ground telling him he was sick. Bob called the Border Patrol and asked for a medical helicopter evac. As he turned to go back to his ATV he was shot in the side. The round came from down and angled up so they know the shooter was on the ground. Bob’s firearm was in the ATV so he had no chance. Wounded he called the Cochise County Sheriff and asked for help. Bleeding in the lungs he called his brother but the line was bad so he called his wife but again the line was bad.
Several ranchers heard the radio call and drove to his location. Bob was dead by this time. The ranchers tracked the shooter 8 miles back towards Mexico and cornered him in a brushy draw. This was all at night. The Sheriff and Border Patrol arrived and told them not to go down and engage the murderer. They went around to the back side and if you can believe it the assassin managed to get by a BP helicopter and a Sheriffs posse and back to Mexico ; So much for professional help when you need it.
One week before the murder Bob and his brother Phil (who I shoot with) hauled a huge quantity of drugs off the ranch that they found in trucks. One week before that a rancher near Naco did the same thing. Two nights’ later gangs broke into his ranch house and beat him and his wife and told them that if they touched any drugs they found they would come back and kill them. The ranchers here deal with cut fences and haul drug deliveries off their ranches all the time. What ranchers think is that the drug cartels beat the one rancher and shot Bob because they wanted to send a message. Bob always gave food and water to illegals and so they think they sent the assassin to pose as an illegal who was hungry and thirsty knowing it would catch Bob off guard.

You are suggesting that Federal authorities can ask me for my papers and if they don't do it when you want them to you can sue them? When the the feds put that law on the books? Oh, happy birthday.

There is nothing in the Arizona law that allows an AZ officer to do what a federal officer cannot already do. Hardly something that can be ruled unconstitutional. Now if you want to talk about unconstitutional laws lets discuss the healthcare bill and its unconstitutionality.

Can you sue the federal government if they don't enforce the law to your standards?

Immigration law is hated because it might work

By: Heather MacDonald
Examiner Editorial

The Arizona law, were it to be widely emulated, threatens to disrupt the calculus of illegal immigration. There are 650,000 state and local police officers in the United States. If a significant portion of those officers received the mandate of the Arizona law — to inquire where practicable into the immigration status of an individual they have legitimately stopped, if they have a valid reason to believe he is in the country illegally — the balance between law enforcement and lawbreaking would be changed enough to likely deter illegal border crossings and to persuade many illegal immigrants already in the U.S. to return to their home countries rather than face arrest and deportation.
The opponents of Arizona’s law, SB 1070, detest it not because it will lead to racial profiling (it will not), nor because it is unconstitutional (it is not), but because it just might work. Texas is reportedly already considering a similar law. The illegal immigrant lobby knows that it has to stop SB 1070 if it wants to maintain its monopoly over border matters, a monopoly that has led to the chaos that is now engulfing Arizona.

The people screaming the loudest against Arizona’s law do not believe in immigration enforcement, period. No matter where an illegal immigrant is arrested — whether on the street, at home, or at a work site — the illegal immigrant lobby will declare that place to be an illegitimate locus for arrest.
So opposed are illegal immigrant advocates to immigration enforcement that they want to dismantle programs targeting the most dangerous illegal immigrants for deportation.

ORANGECOUNTY(CALIFORNIA) NEWSPAPER-New Immigrants
This is a very good letter to the editor. This woman made some good
points.
For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions. This lady made the argument pretty simple. NOT printed in theOrangeCountyPaper...................

Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either
deem politically incorrect (read below) or which does not agree with the philosophy they're pushing on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help it will get published via cyberspace!

From:
"David LaBonte"
My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the OrangeCountyRegister:

Dear Editor:
So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people
like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to acceptthis new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 whenthere was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in along line in New York and be documented. Some would even get
down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They madea pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country ingood and bad times. They made learning English a primary
rule in their new American households and some even changedtheir names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give theirchildren a new life and did everything in their power tohelp their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing washanded to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor lawsto protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.My father fought along side men whose parents had comestraight over fromGermany,Italy,FranceandJapan. Noneof these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thoughtabout what country their parents had come from. They wereAmericans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of
Japan. They were defending theUnited States of Americaasone people.

When we liberatedFrance, no one in those villages were looking
for the French-American or the German American or the IrishAmerican. The people ofFrancesaw only Americans. And wecarried one flag that represented one country. Not one of
those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up
another country's flag and waving it to represent who theywere. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who hadsacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knewwhat it meant to be an American. They stirred the meltingpot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same
rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it byplaying with a different set of rules, one that includes the
entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to theirmother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an Americanis all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed onEllis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than thatfor all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising futuregenerations to create a land that has become a beacon forthose legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by
those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue ofLiberty, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting onthe immigration bill. I wouldn't start talking aboutdismantling theUnited Statesjust yet.

HATS OFF TO CHARLIE DANIELS....AT LEAST HE HAS THE COURAGE TO SPEAK HIS MIND!!!
I don't know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.

I don't blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the United States of America , as it is a truly wonderful place.

But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I don't care how many lala-land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity lessons.

I don't need sensitivity lessons; in fact I don't have any-thing against Mexicans! I just have something against criminals and anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal and if you don't believe it try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get. What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it's tanta-mount to saying, "I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your laws and there's nothing you can do about it."

It's an "in your face" action and speaking just for me, I don't like it one little bit and if there were a half dozen pairs of gonads in Washington bigger than English peas it wouldn't be happening.

Where are you, you bunch of lily livered, pantywaist, forked tongued, sorry excuses for defenders of The Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again? And even if you pass a bill on immigration it will probably be so pork laden and watered down that it won't mean anything anyway. Besides, what good is another law going to do when you won't enforce the ones on the books now?

And what ever happened to the polls, guys? I thought you folks were the quintessential finger-wetters. Well you sure ain't paying any attention to the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want something done about this mess, and mess it is, and getting bigger every day.

This is no longer a problem; it is a dilemma and headed for being a tragedy. Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims can't happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out of jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?

If you, Mr. President, Congressmen and Senators, knuckle under on this and refuse to do something meaningful it means that you care nothing for the kind of country your children and grand-children will inherit. But I guess that doesn't matter as long as you get re-elected. Shame on you.
One of the big problems in America today is that if you have the nerve to say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians) you are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot and anything else they can think of to call you

Well I've been pounded by the media before and I'm still rockin' and rollin' and when it comes to speaking the truth I fear not. And the truth is that the gutless, gonad-less, milksop politicians are just about to sell out the United States of America because they don't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to face reality.

And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to have 12 million illegal in this country and turn around and say, "Oh it's ok, ya'll can stay here if you'll just allow us to slap your wrist."

And I know that some of you who read this column are saying "Well what's wrong with that?" I'll tell you what's wrong with it. These people could be from Mars as far as we know. We don't know who they are, where they are or what they're up to and the way the Congress is going we're not going to.

Does this make sense? Labor force you say? We already subsidize corporate agriculture as it is, must we subsidize their labor as well? If these people were from Haiti would we be so fast to turn a blind eye to them or if they were from Somalia or Afghanistan ? I think not.

All the media shows us are pictures of hard working Hispanics who have crossed the border just to try to better their life. They don't show you pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13, the violent gang who came across the same way the decent folks did. They don't tell you about the living conditions of the Mexican illegal some fat cat hired to pick his crop.

I want to make two predictions.

No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in violence on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes in the dirt and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to the acre.

No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon of mass destruction and set it off in a major American city after which there will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced and the Capitol building in Washington will probably tilt as Congressmen and Senators rush to the other side of the issue.

I don't know about you but I would love to see just one major politician stand up and say, "I don't care who I make mad and I don't care how many votes I lose, this is a desperate situation and I'm going to lead the fight to get it straightened out."
I don't blame anybody for wanting to come to America , but if you don't respect our immigration laws why should you respect any others?
And by the way, this is America and our flag has stars and stripes…Please get that other one out of my face.

God Bless America

Charlie Daniels

its funny polls show americans support this bill.

Meanwhile our leadership and major sports organizations are trying to act indignant over the bill.

another example that our leadership is out of touch with the voters.
There are some of our politicians that are so far out of touch with their constituents that they are not even on the same planet.

We get this, at least most of us do. Why is it so hard for everyone else to understand this? The legals think we are persecuting them when that is not the case at all. All we want is for the illegals to be removed. Plain and simple. :knockedout:
