Arizona's anti-imigration law...

How is it that the pres. of mexico is here as our guest and he's criticizing our law ??? He's got a lot of nerve. Has he ever heard of being gracious?

You don't go to somebody's house and say, "I really hate your carpeting!" I didn't notice, did Obama bow to him......???

He needs to go back and take care of stuff in his own country.......:biting:

Just heard that Costa Mesa has a resolution to support AZ. It seems the rest of Orange County is moving that direction as well. It looks like a trip to South Coast Plaza is in order. This is one of my wife's favorite shopping locations in the country!

a highly offensive term for a Mexican person recently arrived in the United States, especially somebody who has entered the country illegally to work as a laborer (taboo)

'Wetback' is in my old dictionary. It says a Mexican who enters the U.S. illegally by swimming or wading across the Rio Grande. I don't think it's a racial slur ! At least not any worse than Redneck.

South coast Plaza is one of the finest malls in the Country, I concur!

Costa Mesa declaring itself a "Rule of Law City" has been in the news here the last couple of days.

COSTA MESA – The City Council made it clear Tuesday night that people who are in the country illegally are not welcome in their city.
Council declares Costa Mesa a 'Rule of Law City'

However, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa's neighbor city (actually across the street from S.C. Plaza) is trying to become a sanctuary city.

Will "Rule of Law" City Costa Mesa Soon Border "Sanctuary City" Santa Ana?

She answered this correctly !! No one knows what an illegal immigrant looks like. However, if someone is breaking the law and gets caught for it, they will have to show their I.D.. .......they could be red haired and freckle faced and be from Ireland and if they don't have proper ID and permission to be here.....well, they can sing O Danny Boy all the way back to the Emarald Isle.:peaceful:

Whats gonna happen with all the Cdn Snowbirds there, then ?
How can they tell the difference between a tourist and someone that just didn't go back home ?
Yes, the passport gets stamped, but you expect them to carry it everywhere they go ? Shopping, bars, restaurants, outdoor pools ?
If so, they might not come back, and decide on another sunny state.

You bet I will walk around without a passport. It's the first thing that goes into the Hotel safe, and stays there until I leave.

I don't know the requirements for long term visitors coming from another country. I do know that I was advised to carry my PP with me while at the various islands I went to. Was I offended by that? No one little bit. The overwhelming fact is, if you don't want to comply with another countries laws, stay home.

Mexico doesn't require it huh?
Passport not required, but Tourist card is.
I just had to read up upon that. Good thing I did. Didn't know that was required, because I left it in the safe along with my passport last time, too.

Canadians must be in possession of a tourist card, also called Tourist Migration Form (FMTTV: Migration Form for Tourists, Transmigrants, Visiting Businesspersons or Visiting Consultants). This document is provided by airlines or by immigration authorities at the country’s points of entry.
Authorities can demand to see your tourist card at any time. You must therefore carry the original or a copy at all times and must surrender the original upon leaving Mexico. Failure to do so will result in a fine and/or expulsion.

If you blink, you'll miss Rhode Island.......where else do they call spaghetti sauce, 'gravy'. I've got some crazy relatives there....all DiGregorios. Used to have an NBA star among them when Buffalo had a team.....

Ernie D played his college ball at Providence and had a so-so NBA career.

I am from RI and we don't call spaghetti sauce 'gravy'.

I think this guy from RI is trying to jump on the bandwagon. The illegal problem is not nearly as bad as that of the Southwest, but there are areas in RI that are less than desirable, Cranston being among them.

Rhode Island also has about a 14% unemployment rate.
