Arizona's anti-imigration law...

The Obama administration admits in today's lawsuit that it doesn't want to fully enforce our laws against illegal immigration — and that Arizona's law, SB 1070, gets in the way of this. In the end, this fight comes down to those who want our laws against illegal immigration enforced and those who don't,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

This type of remarks, by Mr. Fitton, are just to agitate people. Most people, if not all, against SB1070 want laws against illegal immigration to be enforced; they just don't want this type of abstracted and vague laws to be passed, that might only bring more problems than the ones they could probably solve.

The Indianapolis – Marion County City-County Council held a meeting tonight for the purpose of voting on Proposal 196, a resolution condemning Arizona immigration bill SB10780.
The bill was proposed by pro-ILLEGAL, open borders advocate Councilman Jose Evans.
A resolute group of Hoosiers gathered at the 6:00 p.m. meeting tonight in a show of strength that was so overwhelming that Councilman Evans didn’t have the guts to show his face to support his own pro-ILLEGAL, open borders resolution.
As Evans supporters tried to table the vote for another meeting their efforts were met with loud protest from the gathered opponents. The motion was voted down and the proposal effective killed.

Lawsuit makes U.S. stance appear obstructionist
With its lawsuit against Arizona’s illegal-immigration law, Senate Bill 1070, the Obama administration underscores the perception of a huge majority of Americans that the federal government is content to maintain a porous border.
Americans are convinced the U.S.-Mexico border is a sieve. Arizonans who sense that the violent instability of Mexico’s cartel wars could drift north believe themselves under siege.

Anti-American AFL-CIO Wants to Hamper AZ Law Enforcement in Favor of ILLEGALS

After lawsuit, AFL-CIO says government must cut ties with Arizona cops

By Jordan Fabian

The nation’s largest labor group on Tuesday doubled down on its claim that the federal government should cut ties with Arizona law enforcement in the wake of its lawsuit against the state.
The Department of Justice filed a suit Tuesday in Arizona court against the state challenging its controversial immigration law, also known at SB 1070. The AFL-CIO praised the administration’s decision in a release, but said that it did not go far enough.
In May, the group urged Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to eliminate cooperative programs with the state’s law enforcement agencies. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka repeated that claim Tuesday, saying it could provide a more immediate solution.
“The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security can — and should — revoke the authority that the Department has delegated to Arizona under the 287(g) program,” he said. “Without that authority, Arizona will not be able to implement misguided laws such as SB1070.”

I’ll say it one more time. Most people, if not all, against SB1070 want laws against illegal immigration to be enforced. I’m sure that if they poll, 99% of people will say that laws have to be enforced, and that they want them to be enforced. Calling Jose Evans a pro-illegal or open-borders guy is a matter of opinions, not a fact. Just because the Councilman or people don’t agree with SB1070, that doesn’t mean they’re pro-illegal. It’s like saying that all people supporting SB1070 are racists, and that’s not the case; they’re just a bit uninformed.

In the end, this fight comes down to those who want our laws against illegal immigration enforced and those who don't,

I believe the sentence above doesn’t express the reality. Some people are against SB1070, not against illegal immigration laws.

And you base this opinion on what? Do you know more about Jose Evans than the article states? Do you know how Mr. Evans stands on the matter of illegal aliens or are you just guessing?
Since you are giving validity to polls ("I’m sure that if they poll, 99% of people will say that laws have to be enforced"), a larger percentage the citizens polled , in most if not all states, are in favor of SB 1070.(at least in all the polls I have read about.)
I'm not saying Evans is pro-illegal or open boarders minded, that was done by a reporter from his area based on either first hand knowledge ( interviews etc.) or gleaned from information from people that know Evans.
Your claims are getting wilder and more desperate.
Another question is, why would a county-city commissioner, candidate for Mayor in Indianapolis even care about SB 1070? it's not like this law is going to effect his state is it?

According to the polls, (which you give credit to in another post) This just isn't a true statement. Most people are not against SB 1070 and they applaud Gov Brewer and Az law makers for stepping up to try and fill the gaping hole in border security.

I just think it's very strange that instead of actually doing THEIR job and securing our borders, the Obama group decides to sue the state of AZ. when the gov. is just trying to protect the citizens of AZ. from the border violence.

In reverse, the Obama group does nothing about the sanctuary cities like San Fran and Salt Lake who break the law by harboring the illegals.

This is messed up!! :sad-little:

BOSTON - Immigrant advocates are rallying fellow activists to protest Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer during her scheduled visit this weekend for the National Governors Association meeting in Boston.

The Washington, D.C.-based ANSWER Coalition and others are putting out pamphlets, sending e-mails and making preparations to bring in protesters by bus to express their opposition to Arizona's controversial immigration law, recently signed by Brewer.

...........................................................................................................

What they can't find enough liberals in Boston to protest ?

LOL. I knew the Mr. Cowboy was going to get exalted.

In the end, this fight comes down to those who want our laws against illegal immigration enforced and those who don't,

And you base this opinion on what? On what I base my opinion that the sentence above doesn’t express the reality? Because being against SB1070 doesn’t make a person to be an open border or pro-illegal. Just like you, that are in favor of SB1070, that doesn’t make you a racist, just because Mr. Pearce have had links with these white supremacist groups or Kris Kobach having links with a hate group, or does it? I’ve already mention you that, but it seems your brain is not capable of sticking things up. Do you know more about Jose Evans than the article states? Do you know how Mr. Evans stands on the matter of illegal aliens or are you just guessing? That’s why I said: Calling Jose Evans a pro-illegal or open-borders guy is a matter of opinions, not a fact. Do YOU know much about him?
Since you are giving validity to polls ("I’m sure that if they poll, 99% of people will say that laws have to be enforced") Don’t you think that most people want laws to be enforced, too, Texan?, a larger percentage the citizens polled , in most if not all states, are in favor of SB 1070.(at least in all the polls I have read about.) Oh, I thought we already had settled that debate, but oh well… It seems you like the polls, 80 percent of people polled agree on an Amnesty to illegal immigration, Texan, do you?
I'm not saying Evans is pro-illegal or open boarders minded, that was done by a reporter from his area based on either first hand knowledge ( interviews etc.) or gleaned from information from people that know Evans. Are you just guessing again? Make a further reading about Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch. He also seems to be in a political fight of Conservatism against Liberalism, just like you, Cowboy. So I still say calling Jose Evans an Open-Borders guy or Pro-Illegal is a matter of opinions, not a fact.
Your claims are getting wilder and more desperate. LOL. On the other hand, it seems you don’t have any argument, now. You can’t even debate about the aspects of a law you favor. It seems that you’re the one getting desperate.
Another question is, why would a county-city commissioner, candidate for Mayor in Indianapolis even care about SB 1070? it's not like this law is going to effect his state is it?
Well, Cowboy, if other states want to imitate a law like SB1070, that answers your illogical question of why other politicians from other states care about what SB1070 says. I thought you had more commonsense.
And believe me, if this law goes into effect it will affect us all, sooner or later. And not in a very positive way.

Yes, I would say that if they poll, 99% of people would say that they want laws to be enforced. Don’t you think that? I’ve never said I give credit to polls to validate SB1070 or any other laws. And I’ve mentioned that more than once on these posts.

This type of remarks, by Mr. Fitton, are just to agitate people. Most people, if not all, against SB1070 want laws against illegal immigration to be enforced; they just don't want this type of abstracted and vague laws to be passed, that might only bring more problems than the ones they could probably solve.

If you can’t read the logic of the sentences above you’re having trouble, Cowboy. Or for a last resort all you have to say to endorse SB1070 is that most people like the law. I’ve never said that most people are against SB1070. I said that most people, if not all, AGAINST SB1070 want laws against illegal immigration to be enforced. And I’m not just guessing. And I think that those words by Mr. Fitton are just to agitate people. Now, who do you think are going to get agitated with those words, the ones in favor of the law or the ones against it. See? You seem to get very stirred up when you listen the propaganda saying that the Federal Government don’t want to enforce immigration laws, or that the Federal Government hate the people of Arizona if they don’t support SB1070, and those other type of remarks that exaggerate and don’t reflect the reality; instead, they just want to demonize the government because they are against and sue a vague and ambiguous law.

LARRY GATLIN: If You're Thinking of Sneaking Over Our Borders

A chicken and a pig were walking down the road and the chicken said, “Mr. Pig, I’m hungry. Let’s stop somewhere and get some ham and eggs.” The pig looked at Mr. Chicken and said, “Mr. Chicken, that’s easy for you to say. For you it's no big deal...For me it's a life and death decision.
To those people who do not live in Arizona or California or New Mexico, or my great home state of Texas ...To those people who do not have illegal aliens climbing their fences and bringing guns and dope into their backyards...to those people who are condemning the people of Arizona for trying to protect their private property because the federal government WILL NOT PROTECT THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY BY SECURING OUR BORDER WITH MEXICO, to those people I say, like Mr. PIG said, “That’s easy for you to say, for you it's no big deal." For those folks on "THIS SIDE OF THE RIVER," IT IS A LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION!!
So until you have had strangers, drug dealers, murderers...and yes, some hungry people just looking for a better life, trespass on your land and over burden your schools, hospitals, and emergency rooms, I say, “BUTT OUT!!"...or, at least try to show some understanding of the DIRE STRAIGHTS that our fellow LEGAL, LAW ABIDING, TAXPAYING, PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNING, and yes COMPASSIONATE, and MOSTLY, GOD FEARING (dear Lord, he had to throw GOD in the mix) AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE UP AGAINST ON A DAILY, MINUTE BY MINUTE BASIS!!
Somehow, believing that "charity and compassion begin at home, is now tantamount to being a "RACIST MONSTER WITH SWASTIKAS AND JACKBOOTS"...THAT IS JUST WRONG-HEADED, PREPOSTEROUS....and...uh, what's the word? HORSE_ _ _ _!!
If a bunch of Mexicans, Methodists, Massachusettsans, or Martians tried to scale the walls of the "REMAINS OF CAMELOT," THE Kennedy compound in Hyannis, Massachusetts, or the walls of the Kerry Ketchup Kitchen in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, security guards would have the above mentioned Mexicans, Methodists, Massachusettsans, or Martians jacked up against those walls, spread-eagled with guns in their backs in a Massachusetts Minute.
Now, for a moment I want to forget my new position writing commentaries for FOXNEWS.COM...
If I were a poor Mexican father, trying to feed my kids, and I couldn't do it in Mexico, I would swim the river, climb the fence, or fight my way through hell itself to put food in their mouths... I GET IT!! I AM A FATHER.
But, it's still illegal. Maybe not as "illegal" as robbing a bank, or holding up a liquor store or stealing some little old ladies purse... But, it's still illegal and blaming the victims, the folks on "THIS SIDE OF THE RIVER," is not the answer.
There is no perfect answer, but throwing the RULE OF LAW into the RIO GRANDE RIVER???
So, I say to the world, if you want to be part of us...if you want to share the AMERICAN EXPERIENCE... DO IT THE RIGHT WAY. DON'T SNEAK INTO THIS GREAT LAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. COME THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR AND I, ALONG WITH MILLIONS OF SONS AND DAUGHTERS AND GRANDSONS AND GRANDAUGHTERS OF LEGAL IMMIGRANTS STRETCHING BACK TO THE. FOUNDING OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY,WILL WELCOME YOU.
P. S. Mr. President, your demagoguery of the entire situation for political gain is beneath contempt.
P. P. S. Attorney General Holder, for you to file suit against the STATE of ARIZONA for trying to DO WHAT YOU AND YOUR JUSTICE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT DO...ALSO,
BENEATH CONTEMPT!!

WaPo — Attention is focused on Arizona and the federal government’s challenge to the state’s strict new immigration law, but three other states could adopt similar legislation next year.
Lawmakers in Oklahoma, South Carolina and Utah, which have already taken steps against illegal immigration, say that Arizona-style measures have a realistic chance of passing when their legislatures reconvene in 2011.

Question ....
If the federal gov't is so upset with an AZ law that has not started yet to the point of challenging them in court, then why are they not also suing OK which past such a law 3yrs ago ?

The Question of the Day

The DOJ Lawsuit against Arizona’s ILLEGAL immigration law (SB1070) specifically states “…a state may not establish its own immigration policy” and alleges that the Feds have “preeminent federal authority and responsibility over immigration” as it’s justification.
So here’s the questions of the day.
If the DOJ is so concerned about reserving and protecting that “preeminent federal authority and responsibility” why aren’t they also suing SANCTUARY CITIES?
Please excuse us if we don’t hold our breath waiting for Robert Gibbs to answer that question.

Iran Threatens U.S. with Proxy Terrorists on Border
by Roger Hedgecock
Illegal immigration is not just about poor workers seeking a better life.
It’s now also about Iran-backed Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists organizing in Latin America to penetrate the U.S.-Mexico border and generate drug profits to finance and carry out terrorist attacks against the U.S.
This week, Mexico announced it had arrested Jameel Nasr, the reputed Hezbollah leader in Latin America, at his home in Tijuana, a stone’s throw from the border separating that Mexican city and San Diego, Calif.
It looks like the much maligned Rep. Sue Myrick (R.-N.C.) was right.
In a letter criticised by the left, Myrick warned Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano in June of the collusion between Hezbollah and the Mexican drug cartels, urging her to establish an inter-agency task force to “clamp down” on this “national security” threat.
Myrick warned that Iranian agents and Hezbollah members were showing up in Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela to learn Spanish and better fit in with the waves of illegals crossing the border. Jameel Nasr recently spent a month in Venezuela
