They are openly firing people for stealing time here. IF, I have ANY delay...paperwork, seals, traffic, anything...I hit delay. Just to document it. Any unplanned stop, hit delay. If told not to, by verbal, then grab a steward and have a meeting with an ORS/MGR. Global msg, then document it. This cya will pay off in the future. I take a picture of any obviously counter intuitive message we get...things that change procedure/policies. I follow global messages to the letter until told otherwise. Whatever that means. The really stupid ones, I get verified by mgt.

We had a guy get "caught" lying on his DOT physical app. Mechanic by the way. Fired...never came back. And he doesn't even have a "driving job". He was taking disqualifying meds.....see......that's how it starts.

We have a guy gone right now. Hit a parked breakdown vehicle....on the Interstate. But he checked most of the boxes for termination.....that stick. He's been gone for a month so far. Circle of Honor 35 year guy.....Let's ask him about odds....

You guys are so cavalier. I've always tried to minimize risks and maximize my ability to have a long and profitable career. I'd say I'm successful so far.

The news is sprinkled with accidents. Airplane crashes. Bad decisions. Disregarding regulations. Bad advice. Ignoring good advice. Taking chances-a lot of times out of pure laziness/stupidity.

I thought my point was pretty clear that working a second business is of little to no concern (and not sure where that has anything to do with DOT exams or failure to report accidents but hey.) My minor was in Statistics so maybe we can just stick to asking me about odds but be my guest.

Don’t argue with him…totally paranoid ….I’ve been here 30 years and been just fine not worrying about every gd thing that happens, some within my control, some not. Whatever… fear monger IMO

Kinda off topic but, the Ft.Lauderdale railyard which usually supplies 10 loads or more a night(outside of peak) from Jacksonville has been shut down for two weeks on incoming loads, they are still trying to catch up on returning empties to Jacksonville.
Yep. The rail yard we use to send loads down south is FEC. They’ve been shutdown for a week now because of a covid outbreak. Or so I’m told. That yard right now has at least 40 of our empty grey boxes just sitting there. I’m surprised they haven’t called yet and told us to get our crap off their yard.

Same. Those loads are usually either ran to FEC or taken to the Palm Bay meet point. Now we are cutting Palm Bay runs and giving to coyotes to run all the way down.
Yea but my old building would not only get loads from FEC but also Palm Bay,Palm Coast, Cocoa,Vero

And there is the problem and why if there is a strike you'll be out of a job buddy. Those scumbags will ease right in there and take over. And that's not even taking into consideration the losers that will cross the picket line in the first week.

These guys laughing at me when I work an occasional Saturday those extra days goes right into my retirement/strike fund
I picked up an extra day every week of peak. If it were available year round, I would do it at least twice a month. Some people are afraid of money.

Fully agree. We have been using them all year for the last two years. I’ve heard UPS is trying to train 90 more feeder drivers this year so hopefully that’ll cut that crap out.
