Ok, how about we trade the $44T we’re on deck to spend for the current nonsense, and trade it for $32T for ‘Medicare for all’, whatever that means.

Imagine if employers didn’t have to deal with managing their employees’ healthcare, and how much that would free them to just run their business.

Imagine if you weren’t tied to your job just because of your employer-based health insurance, and how much employee mobility that would create.

Imagine more small business entrepreneurs that could just go for it without worrying if they would cross an arbitrary # of employees threshold.

I’m disappointed people like you think we can’t do it...is America the best, or what?

Healthcare in the States is a business - keeping you alive for the longest period of time while milking the government or private insurance for a maximum amount of money.

But what if you don’t fall on that spectrum? You’re indigent?

Well, the taxpayers will foot the astronomical bill when you show up at the ER...you’re overall health is an acute prognosis because you’ve never had an ounce of preventative care in your life.

Medicare works great.

Let’s adequately fund it, give it to everyone, and save money.

(But but but but)...

We can put a man on Luna but we can’t give our citizens preventative healthcare?

The money we would save, catching people before the diabetes, before the cancer, before the

We would save money by getting everyone on healthcare.

Are you telling me the Europeans figured out something we didn’t?

Why do you hate the promise of American ingenuity?

Why are we paying the insurers and the drug companies for the pleasure of having a broken healthcare system?

Why do you liberals love Europe so much? Europe has always been a tyrannical :censored2:hole mess. Why do we have this stupid fantasy that Europeans are humans like us? They have a completely different culture and point of view on government, they might as well be Neanderthals in comparison to us. It’s a completely Balkanized “country” it’s like America but worse.

Europe is a backwards and stupid continent, with Royal Families. I don’t think you realize how silly their patriotism is, it’s a lot like yours. Collectivist at its roots and misguided to often horrific results.

But everything isn’t covered.

Irrelevant.

Let’s say we cover everyone to 50%.

Everyone gets checkups, we catch the diabetes before it sets in, etc.

You’re more than welcome to buy supplemental insurance for crazy stuff.

The $ we currently spend on the derelicts who show up at the ER is insane.

The $ we spend treating folk who now have employer health insurance but never had health insurance before is insane.

Imagine a world where it was simple to show up to a doctor (IRL it’s never that simple, tell me about your last DMV experience).

You go to your doc once a year, your burgeoning illnesses are caught early and treated, before they blow up into a hot mess that costs everyone 1 Gabillion dollars under the current system.

Our current system is designed to simply maximize profits for insurers and hospitals, and has very little to do with actual healthcare or insuring that the populace is in a basic standard of general health in the first place.

Instead, Americans are the sad guinea pigs of ‘Big Pharma’, who tax us and the US Guvment for maximum profit.

It doesn’t have to be this way, just saying.

I would NEVER use it. I only see a dr. When I have an issue. Would only need the supplemental insurance. I think MOST people wouldn’t use it.

Do you propose 24 hour clinics. We use the hospital when the clinics are closed. And once when I was dying. The clinics were closed at that time or I would have died going to a clinic.

Well, if you actually saw a doc once a year, maybe you wouldn’t need to all-at-once-up-and-die.

Because you will - when it comes to it, the death rate is holding steady at 100%.

Maybe you think you’re a ‘man’ by not seeing the doc, but it’s people like you that drive our healthcare costs through the roof.

Let’s wager - you never see the doc because there’s nothing wrong.

Until you have to see the doc because something’s wrong: he tells you it’s terminal, the cancer has spread throughout your lymph system.

I’ll wager you’ll go for treatment.

Congratulations, if you’d just gone for an annual checkup, you would have saved all of us hundreds of thousands of dollars because they would have caught your (hypothetical) illness years before it was terminal.

This isn’t hypothetical and it happens every day.

But, you do you.

My illness was a pulmonary embolism. Can’t find that in a check up. In fact many people just keel over and die from them while in the hospital.

How do they find kidney cancer with a check up? Usually you are diagnosed with something after you go in and complain about a symptom or a lump.

I have had blood in my urine for over 25 years. Found in a dot physical. They haven’t been able to find anything.

I don’t think you understand how BS’s platform works or how these “socialist” European countries pay for their “Free” healthcare. I’ll give you a hint, you can take every penny from the “1%” and still not pay for it.
Hey dummy, USofA will never become a "socialist" European country. We are located in North America. We have these large groups called continents. Ever seen a world map before?
