Nevermind then. It was just a suggestion.
But, the rep of Princess does call me every 2 months. I'm quite sure I could work out a deal.
They do have different routes and litunaries then Carnival.
For example the eastern Caribbean includes St Maarten. Now that would be a very interessting Island to visit.
(half french owned, the other half dutch). The dutch side is totally modern with Casinos, shopping, luxery hotels, etc... whereas the french did nothing.... it's just a fishermen town.
I've been to St. Maarten, cool place.
Go ahead and ask the PVP, what could it hurt? I'm sure with you being such a good customer, they'll slash the price to the bone.
The trip we just returned from had four ports as well. Which line are the cabin pics from.Actually, just seen a better offer from my airmiles site (the one I been travelling this year 3 times).
They have HollandAmerica Alaska Cruise on sale (that I didn't bother looking closer into), and also Norwegian Cruiselines for the East Caribbean (Maimi-Nassau-St Thomas, and St Maarten) balcony : $849 cdn for 7 days.
Here is a pic of the regular balcony room:

I don't think I'll bother asking princess rep. Seems no one here is very keen on princess. Even though they have 4 stops on thier western caribbean cruise (kinda nice).

Here is a virtual pic of our "regular" balcony, complete with a couch.I just read a few reviews from the Carnival Valour.
Actually, this guy does cruise a lot.
Read the article, and you'll learn something for your next cruise. (Esspecially the excursions).

How many reviews did you read before finding the one that had so much bad to say about Carnival? As you well know, we just returned from the Valor, with the exception of the take on excursions, I think most of our group had quite a different experience than this "experienced Cruiser".
In the last year I have read literally hundreds of reviews on the Valor, with the exception of a few, parents were very pleased with Camp Carnival. Oersonally I can't imagine why someone would take a toddler on a cruise, but that's just MY opinion.
I don't know what week in April the "TV personality" sailed on the Valor, but the week we were on, the CD was Gary (Beirely?), I thought he was quite good despite the necessary occasional sales pitch. I got the idea he had been on the Valor of at least 2 or 3 weeks but I could be wrong. I was disappointed that Big Tex was on vacation.
I'm not sure what your goal here is. It would be very short sided thinking to believe that everyone is going to have the same opinion of the quality of a vacation, but it sure seems you are trying to convince us that we had a miserable time. If anyone in our group didn't have a very good time, they hid that fact very well.
So, what is your point here?
(emerald princess - eastern caribbean)
Thank you MsPacman, I thought of you a couple of times while we were out on the ocean "oh so" blue and wished you had been there with us.Glad to see everyone had a good time and didn't end up shark food!
The Southern Caribbean itineraries out of San Juan are really nice and would be equally (in)convenient for cruisers coming from either side of the pond! RCL and Carnival both sail out of San Juan.
I saw someone posted pics of the Epic. That boat and RCL's Oasis of the Seas look inspired to say the least. The Epic offers studio cabins for solo guests without the double supplement.
The Southern Caribbean itineraries out of San Juan are really nice ......... .
I agree, everyday at a port would be exhausting and add lots of dollars spent on things to do in port. I know you don't have to get off the ship, but geez if it stops somewhere I want to experience that island/country/city, who knows if I will ever be there again. And that is what wifey and I are looking at for next cruise. The only thing I'm not sure I want is that the ship hits a port EVERY day. I really like a couple of "fun days at sea"!

My only problem with at sea days is I can't seem to stay out of the casino.
I thought the same thing about the San Juan cruises - that they were too port intensive but the ports were so easy it wasn't exhausting at all.
It was actually the most relaxing cruise we have taken. We walked to the beach or took a cab for 2 of the ports and booked a local tour in St. Lucia and walked thru Dominica to the giant soccer (football for Klein) stadium and went shopping. I have heard that the port stops with RCL are equally impressive.
Lots of European cruisers. The bars were packed and had dance contests every night. It was just a lot of fun. LOL - oh and as you wait in line to get on the ship in San Juan they have continuous displays of alcohol with free shots along the way!
Better bring a helper...Miss Mandy likes the casino as much as I do.Well, we can take care of that. Next time we'll just hog tie ya and drag you away. hehehee![]()

LOL....I did notice that you seemed to enjoy at least half the time you spent in there.Well, unfortunately, I had a lot of fun too. We all 3 could be in trouble. LMAO
