Why would a Catholic school or any other school but a Muslim school encourage the wearing of hijabs? And why don't Muslim boys wear hijabs? It's required by conservative Muslims that their women cover their heads. Can't be enforced in public in Western countries although a Muslim woman may choose to wear one voluntarily. But in a private Muslim school they can tell the girls they must wear it. Otherwise they aren't allowed to attend.
public schools have dress codes too. if you dont follow it you get in trouble. that doesnt apply to this guy because it just said the rules encourage. are you in favor or against dress codes?

you keep dodging the question of dress codes.

you guys read into that article too much. it didnt say force, it said encourage in the rules. and it said nothing about sharia law lol. thats just your conspiracy theory kicking in.

iran obviously has problems with women being dominated because the women protested against it.

i didnt talk about catholic schools. thats besides the point.

I'm not dodging at all. I've been discussing dress codes the entire thread. A Muslim girls school of 800 requires the wearing of hijabs. It's male headmaster has just been put in charge of England's school system. It's concerning that someone who sees the world that way is put in charge. And just try forcing anyone in public schools here in the U.S. to wear anything for religious reasons. Seriously man, you need to wake up.

it didnt say that. it said encouraged in teh rules.

he also was in charge of christian schools

either you support dress codes at schools or you dont. if you do, then dont get upset over muslim dress codes.

They were encouraged to wear them outside the school. You are hung up on semantics. The point is a man who supports the subjugation of women has been put in charge of England's schools. If you don't get that you're just dense. And seriously, keep having sex with your Muslim girlfriend after you move into a Muslim neighborhood in England. Let people know you're doing that. If you think those people don't care then you're a fool.

youre allowed to encourage people to do things in a free society.

i am hung up on the wording because you guys keep saying forced and its the school rules, and it wasnt. it was always just encouraged.

theres nothing about subjugation of women and that man. where does it refer to that? i dont think you know what a hijab is. when i google it and read what it says, it doesnt resemble your description of it. some women rock a hijab because theyre religious. some women dont because theyre not religious.

i think you trash islam too much when the other religions arent that better in case you didnt notice lol

america has racism problems, possibly lgbtq problems, extreme abortion problems, etc.

It's the school rules for the girls to wear the hijab in class. They were encouraged to wear them outside of school too. My bringing up subjugation is what is done to Muslim women in Muslim countries. The hijab is symbolic of that. It's not just a decorative scarf.

You don't know the history of Islam. The Muslims forced it by the sword wherever they went. When the Muslims arrived they killed nonbelievers if they didn't convert or live in subservience. They didn't spread Islam with missionaries. Groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda today are seeking to reestablish Muslim domination. And they will continue terrorist attacks against the West.

no it did not say that, its says the school rules encouraged. when you look up what a hijab symbolizes, it doesnt say subjugation LOL. some muslim countries like iran force women to wear a hijab. i agree, its worse than us. we are forced to not be nude here. so theres forcing here too, just less conservative.

were not talking about the history of islam lol.

were talking about what that article said. that article said the rules encouraged. not the rules forced. not the rules said. rules encouraged might as well not be a rule.

also the article said nothing regarding that guy and sharia law. you just went off the deep end on that.

married women have problems in iran with freedom because their husbands have the power. we have women problems here too. maybe not as bad but we have problems too.

as a christian man, you might want to start doing something about the women problems we have here since you live here and can more easily influence the politics where you live. or you can do internationalism like me and criticize other countries including your own. something is better than nothing.

You keep wanting to equivocate. There is no equivocation between the West and Islamist countries.

we have problems with women. we had a womens rights movement a few decades ago lol.

were just less bad.

so anyways back to that article, it said the rules encourage.

and then nothing about whatever you were talking about sharia law.

I know it's difficult but try to concentrate. I pointed out why putting a guy in charge of England's schools who runs a private Muslim school wear girls have to wear the hijab is concerning. You get hung up on the wearing of the hijab part as if it's all voluntary. I tell you what you do. Research whether that school requires girls to wear the hijab. Get it directly from the source. You hate the West so much that you downplay the problems of other societies because you want to attack the West, attack capitalism. You have no idea apparently how fortunate you are to live in Canada. There's a reason people move to places like Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. but don't move to Saudi Arabia or Iran. And that includes you.

Again, trying to find an angle to attack the West. Iran has been run by the mullahs since the late 70's. They have oil. For context look how devastated Europe and Japan were after WWII but look at them today. How come Iran isn't doing well? How come with all their wealth the Saudis oppress women? How come people aren't trying to move there? They have big money.

The man encouraged the girls to wear the hijab outside of school. Of course they have to wear it in class. It's a private Muslim school.
