Can't find the local Hub number

How does one get the local hub HR number for a hub where they once worked? The HR 1-800 number won't give it out, but tell me I have to deal with them directly to assist with my issue when I am 2,500 miles away from my former hub. Seriously, the have better handle on their information than the government.
