Well i was talking about pre-load for me. Im not sure about helper I've never done it.Don't know where you are, but our helpers get $15+/hour. Some places, it will be as low as $10.10, I'd imagine.

Also, how do I get the chance to be a helper with a driver along with preloading? Do they ask me or do I have to apply?

I do. I think I've confused us bothMy bad, I thought you wanted to be a helper too.
Ive never been at UPS during the peak of Christmas time. Any older UPSers who have been through the system have any tips about preloading feel free to answer.

Should see a sign up sheet. Also mention it to your sup. See if you can be a helper for one of the PC's to preload in the AM.Also, how do I get the chance to be a helper with a driver along with preloading? Do they ask me or do I have to apply?
drivers stuck in the snow...
This has been my experience. And making $50/hr watching a PT sup work.Other than longer hours, peak season usually is easier because of all the extra seasonal help.
That is one of the stupidest things I have read for a UPSer to say.I really hope we have lots of snow during peak.
A lot of down time waiting for Feeders or package cars to get back to the building. All while on the clock. Not so dumb. That is one of the stupidest things I have read for a UPSer to say.
Until you crash or get ran into when you hit that icey spotA lot of down time waiting for Feeders or package cars to get back to the building. All while on the clock. Not so dumb.
Kind of of hard to crash sitting on the belt waiting for loads to come in.Until you crash or get ran into when you hit that icey spot
I guess I just have a different philosophy than do you. I like to make our customers happy, you could give a rat's .A lot of down time waiting for Feeders or package cars to get back to the building. All while on the clock. Not so dumb.
Not as bad as the summer in my opinion. You have double the volume, more loaders, and more routes open. The hours do suck though...12:30 start time.Ive never been at UPS during the peak of Christmas time. Not a whole lot I can do to service our customers when the loads don't come in on time because of weather delays. Why the hate?I guess I just have a different philosophy than do you. I like to make our customers happy, you could give a rat's .
We had a lot of weather delays a couple years ago, would rather that not happen again, and you are wishing for it.Not a whole lot I can do to service our customers when the loads don't come in on time because of weather delays. Why the hate?
I believe Austin.Was.My.Hero was the one wishing for snow. PT car washer is talking about making the best of a situation out of his control. We had a lot of weather delays a couple years ago, would rather that not happen again, and you are wishing for it.
