i dont think jesus would support giant corporations trashing the planet

remember he was an insurrectionist and revolutionary. likewise, we could use a revolution for a sustainable economy
No I don’t remember that. I remember you saying it but that’s all. What I do remember is that He was sent to earth to die for our sins

Of all of our conversations, you’ve never really heard anything I’ve said have you?
what actions did you take?

in the matrix, morpheus says we can feel it when we go to work, when we go to school, when we go to church, when we pay our taxes

for example our taxes might be too high or we might not be getting enough in return or it might be going to the wrong thing like dept of defense. when we go to church we may not understand what we are supposed to be doing and instead be threatening senior citizens with assault and driving cadillac SUVs and basically taking no action; we are just spectators instead of participants.

So you’re basing your salvation on the quotes of a sci-fi movie? What good are your “good works” if you aren’t saved? That is if the intention is to get to heaven.

is the bible all real?

if we try and the world still burns, then i think we are saved just by honestly trying.

the bible is what you turn to for guidance and answers, not a movie quote, if salvation is the goal. It teaches the way to salvation. Not only does it teach how to get born again salvation, but very clearly describes that you can't achieve it through works alone.
If salvation and the way it is taught in the gospels doesn't jive with what you believe, then just continue to live life as a political activist using the words of movies and your theological teachers and leave it at that. Stop bringing Jesus into it and confusing those who may genuinely be seeking the path to salvation.
