the bible is what you turn to for guidance and answers, not a movie quote, if salvation is the goal. It teaches the way to salvation. Not only does it teach how to get born again salvation, but very clearly describes that you can't achieve it through works alone.
If salvation and the way it is taught in the gospels doesn't jive with what you believe, then just continue to live life as a political activist using the words of movies and your theological teachers and leave it at that. Stop bringing Jesus into it and confusing those who may genuinely be seeking the path to salvation.
jesus was a revolutionary and insurrectionist and my ministers bring him into it. he was probably an activist based on this.

and that is all false teaching. You are being led down the wrong path. He was a revolutionary in the sense that He was brought to earth for the purpose of crushing the head of the serpent by paying the price for our sins in order to make salvation through and with Him possible. There was no led insurrection against a government but instead opened the door for everyone to be able to get a path to heaven. Sure the pharisees and sadducees saw Him as a threat to their position but that's not the same thing as trying to overthrow a government being
