$36.19 an hour is $46.33 in 10 years at 2.5% inflation.$1 per year

$36.19 with your $.75 raises is $43.69....1.9%

$44.55 using 2.1% inflation. I think that is fair.

First raise on Aug 1 2018 not 2019. And No split raises.

I make $36.90 an hour. My local has never skipped a raise.

85 cents a year would keep us at par with inflation for the next 10 years (assuming 2.1 percent inflation).

((36.9*(1.021)^10))-36.9)/10 = .8523

I don't want 75 cents. I'll take 85 cents a year.

.85 seems a little low...if that’s the bar, .75 and .85 is the same thing.

My prediction is they will be giving all the extra money to the part timers this contract, the full timers are going to be very disappointed.
Im good with that.. insurance after 90 days.... take pension away for 1 year for added cash.

You should be hoping that progression is reduced. But most FT Union members would not vote for it because "does not affect me".
Yep, people only vote for their own interests. Full time drivers will base their votes on driving issues, combo workers will base their vote on combo issues. Central states will base their vote on pension stuff.

Gravy route
Just extend this contract 10 more years. 75 cents a year raise. I can dig it.
First you say 75 then 85

The math is not quite that simple.
Each year you build off of the raise from the prior year.
Kind of like compound interest...
So $.85 a year for 5 years would be OK ; but for 10 years not so much.

Here is an online calculator

Use 2017 as your starting year because otherwise we get no raise for 2018 in the calculation.
$36.90 is worth $46.51 in 2028 at 2.1% inflation.

That awful optimistic inflation. Eventually inflation and all that free money is gonna hit hard.

Deranged lunatic

In a market where the word "blockchain" increases stock prices just because the word was introduced... You betcha there are massive bubbles in the market from tech to renovated home rentals that will blow up into a recession at some point soon.
