I propose:

Pension: 25 years 55K
30 years 70K
35 years 90K
40 years 115K

2 votes come contract proposals.

1. For current employees; wage increases, employee treatment, etc

2. For current employees and retirees; health and welfare, pension.

How do you arrive, at those numbers....

Based on the current contribution rate ?

Western conference 2016 accrual rate for 2080 hours worked was $2800. I know 55K is low for 25 years, but it's a start to boost up others in lame pension plans.

What are drivers who are retiring now with 30 in @western conference collecting per month???

so with those figures what would someone who works another 10 years get??? 88,000??? Take 10 x 2800 and add 60k.... seem right??
Using those figures, yes. Going forward it will be more. For example 2017 accrual rate will probably be about 3000. In 2015 it was 2600.

That's why all the pensions with the exception of the Western Conference are failing. In the West we get what we put in. In the Southwest Ryder the contribution is $10.46 per hour for FT and $8.46 for PT employees. At Local 396 we get $.15 cents more so we're at $10.61 per hour. We get paid for hours worked.

In the Southwest:

2080 X $10.46 = $21,756.80.
Local 396: 2080 x $10.61 = $22,068.80

Note that they have taken $1.25 out of our pension raises so far to pay for healthcare. So the Southwest should be at $11.71. $11.86 at Local 396.

The lowest I've heard of PEER 80 is $3900 a month. I know another close friend of mine that gets $4700 a month and one that just retired that said he's getting $59,000 a year after 32 years.

Blaming the Union, is a cop out by your building manager.

Yep.

There is no sort of reciprocity between plans.

Although, there could be transfers within the region like the

Western Conference. Aside from Locals with their own plan.
The way it was explained to me the company doesn't mind the transfer and will do it.. its the union that's against it.. I spoke to a few of the guys over in the western agreement and they say they can transfer without a issue, but the eastern agreement will not allow it.. I don't understand what the big deal.. again I asked the union rep and he has no answers as well..

22,068 x 1.2% = 264.81 x 12 = 3,177

Does it?

So if I work 5 years here and 25 in Texas my 30 year pension will be drawn from NY?

I think you are mistaken.
I'm not. You need to read what is written, not what you imagine.
NM At 38 Sec 2... "The Employer agrees to pay the required pension contribution to the employee(s) original pension trust fund as set forth in the trust agreement, provided there is no conflict with any collective bargaining agreement and/or trust agreement."

Are you saying that the western conference should help out other regions by giving them money?
