It was talked about for a while but not much about it lately. It will become a method eventually.
I just went to driving school in Michigan. We listened to a loss prevention person for over 3 hours. They told us we are going to start driver release at commercial stops this month (August).

Do you actually believe that the company is concerned about augmenting the driver's compensation?
Nope ...

These penny pinching pieces of :censored2: need to stop crippling this company. I'll still be getting signatures at all commercial stops.

Interesting.

Drivers will not have to deliver to a certain "receiving area".

Step 2 feet inside the business, dump them on the ground and leave.

DR.... Front Door.
Fedex ground has had this for a while. It's part of the no frills service we have to compete against. Kind scary.

What region do you work in?

The Central Region already has language to protect our schedules.

Sounds like you may have that language too.....

.....if your coworkers have the nuts to assert their rights?

If they do, we will all have the opportunity to make more coin.

Central Region does it fact have said language.

I work in the 1st Minnesota building to implement Saturday Ground service. Our management team was pulling the "scheduled 6 days" crap. I brought it up to my ORS in front of our BA on the 1st Saturday service day (already being scheduled for the 2nd 6 day week on the following week)

BA said that's BS. Message came across the DIAD by 3pm that the schedules had been fixed to a 5 day week.

It works if you work it.

Outside their business hours?
DR Rear Door.
GPS says you were on the property.
Driver just got thirty more stops.

(electric) ventilation fans installed in rear for pkg cars. pull out hot air(yes i'm in FL. ) but also for toxic fumes. Since safety is such a concern. and without a pay cut not asking for A/C.

Sorry, but imo this shouldn't even be considered contract negotiation issues....this should be done because it needs to be done.... we shouldn't have to bargain and trade ANYTHING for the "right" to have proper venting inside a dark colored vehicle that can reach 120 degrees inside the cargo area....

Mgmt-" Did you deliver Walmart yesterday?"

You-" Yes I did."

Mgmt-"They say they never got their stuff."

Now what? Who's responsible? As long as it's in black and white that it's not on the driver, pile on more stops (that's what will happen). But claims will skyrocket for lost goods,

Geez.

The GPS will show that's where you were. I bet they activate the camera on the DIAD soon.
