If we were to all get tested before showing symptoms there wouldn't be enough coronavirus tests. For the entire duration of the outbreak. Which is why they're telling the public that.

That said, I think you know it wouldn't be wise for members of the United States Congress to get tested only when they're symptomatic. Because they're members of the United States Congress.

Do you need to be told why the virus spreading like wildfire in the United States Congress would be a bad thing?

That won't happen. Everyone wants their own Congressional representatives to bring home the bacon for their districts and states. Just don't like the body as a whole.
