So the CDC says there are at probably 10 unreported cases for every reported case, estimating the total infected at roughly 35M. Many experts put the numbers at 15+ unreported case for every reported case. The death numbers are accurate (if not inflated) because everyone that dies gets tested. With that, the death rate is less than 2/5 of 1%. One person dies for every 260 people that get it. Take that number to 15 unreported per reported and it goes to jist over 1/4 of 1%, or 1 death per 377 cases.

Funny you mentioned that. We have one grandson, turned 2 years old today. He doesn't live with us, he lives with his parents. I totally agree with your concern about those who are older or have pre-existing conditions. These people should be the ones that self isolate until this thing is in the clear. I do think we should open up schools, which will be a terrible thing for the kids if we don't. Biden also said we should open them up, so I'm not sure which of these two idiots you're talking about.

Given the improvements in hospitalization outcomes and treatment's death is a lesser concern. Yet we still live in a country with areas having inadequate testing and impossible to function contact tracing infrastructures.
People simply will die from non optimal care from the virus and a plethora of other health problems because
s hit the fan. The selfish Independence and freedoms of idiots will be the downfall of the poor, weak and just unlucky.

Isolate the old and weak... How? These people often need help from people living in the community. Should nursing home staff or home care worker's also be isolated? The ignorance of these statements... Just say you don't care if the sick, old or poor die, better yet let's just get it over with a take granny to the church covid party and lock the door behind you.
