yes thus you do sound like a drama queen here. i dont see anyone losing their mind over the flu and its a very similar affliction and killing a hell of a lot more people. some could even argue that its killing kids which the c-virus is not.

This is a dry-run, and the world community is failing.

This particular virus doesn’t seem to be that bad, but the jury is out.

Currently, this virus (seems to be) transmitted directly, i.e. person to person, like the common cold or the flu.

But if this virus spread by airborne transmission, then all bets are off.

We could still deal with it, but it would be a MAJOR FKG HASSLE, and a lot of people would die, like they do every year from the annual flu.

But...imagine there’s a virus like HIV that goes airborne, we would be utterly destroyed.

That would be a cull beyond what even you think is acceptable, and it would grind the world to a halt.

So, the fact that the world is screwing up handling this particularly nasty flu doesn’t bode well for when the REAL sht comes down the pike...

Flu kills.1 Corona kills 5% and that number climbs every day. It kills 80% of elderly and sick. So as long as you don't have grandparents or elderly parents or know anyone who may have a weak immune system or maybe even heavy smokers because it attacks lung then you should be fine.

the death rate varies by country and types of patients. The US death rate is actually skewed at about 6 percent because we have not had a lot of cases identified and the first infections were in a nursing home scenerio with the most susceptible patients.

meanwhile the death rate in south korea with many more cases is .6 percent.
