And there was different wording on the keys rather than the signs on the newer diads.
All the soft keys were friend keys. I remember F4 was to over-ride pickups.
Checkmark was stop complete.
The escape and void keys.
Big and Little arrow.
I still use that terminology when refering to those keys.

The worst thing about them was that you had to hit enter after sheeting every package. The new diads automatically start the next line to sheet.

we then had to transfer all area and stp count an p/u info onto a paper time card!! the biggest problem was learning the diad!! not that we are old,but our generation didn't grow up on computers and play station. We had alot of drivers who were from the early 60's in most centers who were on paper for 20 yrs and even the younger guys like me never had computers in H.S like the guys today!! it was tough learing that damb board when you had the pressure of knocking out 200 stops a day, we were poorley trained by older supes who were clueless on it,often got frustrated and went back to paper till we got the hang of it!!!!
