I was late about the 3rd morning on the job in 1971. Alarm clock didn't go off-- late by about 15 minutes. Years later I was checking my file one night after the boss had failed to lock the file cabinet and found a note in it that said " talked to R this morning about the importance of being on time-- says he understands and won't be late again." This had to be 12 to fifteen years after I had been late and the note was still there. Just proves that they are building a case against you from the very start. That's the only time I remember being late.
