Tell me about it.I don't play sports anymore... disability doesn't pay shiet
Or two or three.I hope you gave her the finger!
I would have been like ill finish the day out but when I get in your taking me to the hospital, and that's your only choice and that's the ways its going to be. Ill see you when I get in and ill be ready to go to hospital as soon as I get in.Last Thursday I dislocated my finger on the job and was told I had to wait for the insurance company to call me to set up an orthopedic appointment so I could get an mri. Didn't get a call until yesterday and the appointment isn't until Monday. Does liberty mutual always take this long to set these up?

It is a valid question.
Was he hurt bad enough to not only stop doing what he had to do (work) but also what he enjoyed doing (play)?
I would love to see a poll of how many of us injured ourselves during the day and were able to finish the day. (I have---twice)
Yeah, I still have no movement. If there's a torn ligament and it doesn't heal properly and there's permanent damage, are you gonna pay for my surgeries down the road? Did you see the xray and how bad it was dislocated? It wasn't just slightly dislocated. My middle finger was the shortest finger on my hand. You need to see a specialist and have an MRI over a dislocated finger? Really??
Really? According to that logic, there should be no W/C claims because it is always the hurt person's fault. I'm sure the OP didn't bully the doctor into an MRI just to stick it to UPS, but wait, you are mgnt so you probably think they did. Don't you feel obligated to facilitate a safe work environment so the employees can make it home safe? Freaky things happen while out doing physical labor in an instant, not always somebodies fault.First its a dislocation, now it a possible torn ligament, a "bad" dislocation and it somehow shrunk in length. Does it matter that YOU did this to yourself somehow? I know it was probably an accident, but what is your part in all this? Don't you feel obligated to perform the services that you are relied upon to perform? Apparently not.
not in my experience. Two years ago, I hurt my back on the job, went to the ups doctor who referred me to an orthopedic. I went to an ortho I'd prevoiusly been to, and got an mri less than a week after the injury.Last Thursday I dislocated my finger on the job and was told I had to wait for the insurance company to call me to set up an orthopedic appointment so I could get an mri. Didn't get a call until yesterday and the appointment isn't until Monday. Does liberty mutual always take this long to set these up?

Look at the x-ray, the bones overlap. Also, why are dislocations and torn ligaments mutually exclusive to one another? Can't be both. And ups and the teamsters sat down and negotiated our right to collect w/c in a case such as this. So isn't it ups' obligation to get me the necessary medical attention in a timely manner? Or in your expert medical opinion don't you think I need any?First its a dislocation, now it a possible torn ligament, a "bad" dislocation and it somehow shrunk in length.
