I would think people from less developed/low paying companies that have suffered immense economic disparity would be the ones to be ready to join the picket lines and be pro-union. Plus, I'm sure most of these people have seen more combat and gunfire than most people I know to be tough. I'm reading the book 'Teamster Rebellion' and it talks about how the 1934 Teamsters strike was composed of skilled people from Norway, Finland, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. While obviously these people are from the Middle East, I wouldn't count them out. I think the biggest hurdle would be convincing ones that believe in Islam to join a union, as they see it as 'socialist/progressive' and Islam/Muslims are extremely conservative. I'm not really sure if this was on-topic enough to comment, but it is something to think about. As an American myself, if they come in legally, pay their taxes and dues, I don't really see an issue.
