And when you stretch yourself that thin you don't leave room for things like emergency funds and retirement savings.Because a $1500 mortgage is more when you include ins. and taxes.
That’s some funny assed math. If 900 a weak equals 4,050 a month?900 a week is 4,050 a month. If one is paying 1500 for an apartment, why can’t they afford a 1500 mortgage?
I bought a 300k home making 64k. Had 3 kids at the time. My residence is only a lifestyle choice, not an investment.
One should only spend what they feel they can afford. In 2016 I got an approval letter for 670k. I settled for much less.
Fascinating! And when you stretch yourself that thin you don't leave room for things like emergency funds and retirement savings.
How do you come up with 900 a week equals 4050900 a week is 4,050 a month. If one is paying 1500 for an apartment, why can’t they afford a 1500 mortgage?

I was just glad I wasn’t the only one. For a minute after I posted I was like, wait......You bastid
I know we aren't your average family but 15-20% of our income has always went to savings/retirement. When you just consider that a monthly payment it really cuts down on what you can "afford"Fascinating!
I used the standard 4.5 weeks in a month. How do you come up with 900 a week equals 4050
I did the math it's $3900 but I always figure 4 weeks per month so you give yourself a little leeway that way.I was just glad I wasn’t the only one. For a minute after I posted I was like, wait......

Standard huh.I used the standard 4.5 weeks in a month.
You must not be old enough. So you want to squabble over 150 bux? Assuming that your 900 a week is correct.Standard huh.
Last time I checked there's 52 weeks in a year not 54.
900 was probably high considering that's only $250 a week in taxesYou must not be old enough. So you want to squabble over 150 bux? Assuming that your 900 a week is correct.
not entirely true, sometimes there is 53, depending the way payrolls fallStandard huh.

Yeah probably not a great idea to budget for 53 paychecks every year.not entirely true, sometimes there is 53, depending the way payrolls fall
When I gross 1450 taxes are 231900 was probably high considering that's only $250 a week in taxes
Considering $150 a month is equal to about 32k on a 30 year mortgage at 4%. Yeah I'd say that's worth it.
i dont care about that, just saying sometimes there is 53 weeksYeah probably not a great idea to budget for 53 paychecks every year.
