You really don't understand. Those were closed by order of the regional governments, not the national government. If Trump had done that I'd say so but it wasn't within his authority to do so.

Where were you when all of this was happening? The Dems accused Trump of xenophobia at the start when he shut down flights to/from China. They were encouraging people to go out and enjoy festivals, etc and ignore Trump. Nancy Pelosi famously did that. And when the vaccines first came out near the end of Trump's term the Dems were saying they didn't trust a Trump vaccine. And as soon as they took power the vaccines were great with them.

Keep in mind through all of that Trump was fighting off constant attacks by Democrats. Going into the pandemic Fauci was highly respected. Took time for people to learn that he was duplicit in supporting the research in China that was probably the source of the virus.
