Yeah, that's my point. It's not a law. That's an administrative rule that OSHA has zero authority to make or enforce. What this rule does is puts employers in the position of breaking actual laws and exposing themselves to civil liability. They only get away with this sort of thing because most people don't understand the law. Particularly they don't understand how administrative rules interact with the law. It's an illegal rule, the most clear reason is that it violates privacy rights under the ADA.
