Here’s a message I sent to a group of like minded people in my hub regarding the forced masking aka your body belongs to ups…….
First of all merry Christmas to all of you. I am sending this text to a small group of both hourlies and supervisors that I know are as fed up as I am with the virtual slavery and abuse of being forced to wear face masks by ups management at work. We all know that there's no health benefit to this and it's completely unnecessary and and it's gone on for far too long...almost two years with no end in sight. It's actually harmful to be doing physical work and not breathing properly. We've all been exposed to the virus by now and some people chose to take vaccines or several of them. There's a good chance that this precedent of masking will be used for a vaccine mandate in the new year. Its simply an excuse for certain people to be on a power trip. I in particular have been targeted by management for my religious and political beliefs regarding this and I'm not gonna stand for it anymore
I am asking you to make a New Years resolution to refuse to go along with this insanity anymore. It's both a violation of our rights as human beings and it's a violation of our terms of employment. depending on the day and who's in the building the person it's enforced very selectively. It doesn't matter whether you're union non union hourly or sup...the only way this ever stops is mass refusal. UPS has the right to set work policies yes but they cannot enforce anything other than the proper footwear aka work boots without a change in the work conditions. If you agree with me and you want this stop then send this to other co workers. I think if even a third of people refused to comply it would be unenforceable.
Think about what I'm saying and let's not tolerate another year of this bull
. Remember...80 percent of the building agrees with us as evidence by the fact that almost no one wears these silly diapers properly. Turns out we are all in this together to get out of this abuse. Now you may say to me but Matt I can't risk losing my job. I can guarantee you that continuing to comply with this crap will only lead to more and more abuse aka vaccine mandates. That's how it works. The time to stand up was almost two years ago but definitely it's time now.
