The problem you have is the vax isn't even remotely close to a cure all, & nobody knows the long term effects it could have.
For instance in my county during October we've had 600 cases, 489 unvaxd - 111 vaxd.
15 deaths, 12 unvaxd - 3 vaxd
50 hospital admissions, 36 unvaxd - 14 vaxd.
The fact that there are people who are vaccinated & still getting very sick & some dying tells me & many others that it's not worth getting especially when 99.7% survive without it.
If the #'s showed 100% unvaxd in the hospital & dying then I think you would have a good case for the vax
On the outset, the survival rate is misleading. It reflects all age groups combined. I haven’t checked in a while but 65 and over was something like 15% will die.I think this was early vax days.
The numbers in your county, probably pretty typical.
No shot and never having Covid means no antibodies. Your age, physical condition, the strength of your immune system all are factors with how an individual will play it out. The same variables have to be factored in for one with antibodies.
It's not tough. Antibodies are gained by a shot or by having Covid or both. However acquired, they decrease over time. They don't know how long or how much, but they will as numbers come in. The booster may be good for anywhere from 6 months to 2, 5,10 years. They don't know yet. But,they will.
How much antibodies one needs is a different as the individual. We're not all 100% alike. The results are as different as we are.
One thing is a fact, antibodies give you something to fight the virus. Which means for some, your level of suffering won't be as bad. But, for others, because of the other variables, Covid is gonna kill them no matter what they do.
