Excessive Break "Saturday Air Driving"

You should definitely grieve that. As Article 40 states & was quoted earlier, you should not have been waiting for packages off the clock. You weren't just sitting around, you are "engaged in waiting". It is reasonable to ask you to take a break in that time period if they knew the delay would be an hour or more. Every contract has prescribed 1/2 or hour unpaid lunch periods, not 'however long they deem necessary to avoid paying you". They employer should have invoked the language to delay your start time up to 2 hours when they knew the plane was going to be late as they apparently did prior to you starting.

At that point they most likely would have suspended the operation and delivered the Saturday air along with the regular air on Monday.
They didnt. Lol I ended up getting a 12 hour day with 4 hours worked. They wasn't happy when I told them to change my diad start time because they was going to have to pay me for the whole day or I would have to grieve it.

My steward confirmed with the BA and we was told that we don't have to take a break at all unless we choose to take a break. 1 hour is allowed and 10 minutes is paid but they are strictly voluntary.
