Fake numbers getting faker

How many miles from center to your route? Those miles are insane for that amount of stops unless a good portion of them are to and from route.

I can't relate as the furthest routes from my center is 16 miles. The highest mile routes top out at about 120. So in my center that 120 mile route with 125-130 stops is a 9.5 day. On paper, your numbers would be a day and a half work.
This route is 45 miles from the center. With a total of around 95 miles being on an interstate.

It takes somebody with some weight and authority to fix these time studies. I’ve seen it happen with supervisors who know the right people and sure enough the time allowances are better but most supervisors don’t know the people and the company could care less about fixing them on there own. And no that is ridiculous. 9.5 plan day for that amount of stops and miles.
Fix?

The whole idea of "bonus" is to manipulate drivers into speeding up, do more work in less time, working off the clock in various ways, so what you pay in bonus is less than if they worked a normal pace. Sucker drivers think they are gaining over on the company, in reality, they are earning less than they would have by taking the overtime.

Ha !

At their discharge hearings for falsification, unreported accidents, signing for pkgs....ect.

My presentation of their case was simple. "Panel Members.... I will let the grievant explain."
I have a sneaking suspicion that bonus drivers dig themselves more holes than non- bonus centers by falsification in an attempt to pad their numbers.

Bonus is paid at overtime rate in my local
Sure, 30 minutes OT bonus, (30-40 minutes working off the clock), VS 1.15 OT, not running-gunning.

You would be correct on your last statement. Bonus drivers are constantly not following the methods and doing questionable things which is exactly why your other point about people not filing grievances would apply to them. They’re afraid to file grievances because they don’t want management looking into what they’re doing.

Are the numbers in other areas getting even more ridiculous like they are where I’m at? I’m in a bonus center but I never run bonus. But yesterday I really thought like i knocked it outta the park, really felt like i put i a solid day, so I decided to look at the previous days numbers.

I had 170 stops with 182 miles. Roughly 250 packages and no pickups.

I worked just over 11 hours.

I was 1.5 hours over allowed.
Heard they reevaluated the routes a couple of weeks ago, this might be the result.

No point in chasing bonus. They can turn your bonus on or off whenever they want. Doesn't matter how fast you go if your bonus is turned off. Orion says last stop at 2100, you are back to building at 2045 and an hour over.

When they first start bonus they might make a little bonus money possible but it doesn't take long for them to adjust the numbers in their favor. Better (and safer) to not even worry about it. You get paid by the hour.

Same pace every day - safe, moderate, and methodical. If you are consistent the rest will work itself out eventually.

Subtract the the skipped lunch time sorting the truck. Doesn't matter, these runner-gunners will never understand.

Yes there are a lot of variables definitionally with an accurate time study Wally but assuming that the driver isn’t doing all those behaviors and the company has used the technological tools as they were created to be used, it’s a matter of scale, yes time studies were better then previous days.

I don’t know if drivers were doing those things that wasn’t my point. Time allowances can be manipulated to benefit the driver or not. Certain supervisors knew certain people with the weight to align the time studies more with the actual reality of the real world.

Obviously things change on routes as well...two way streets become one ways, loading/unloading areas get added/swallowed up, businesses open close that affect parking near other businesses...etc etc. Like @10:30 resi says, same, safe, consistent pace for the win.
