Center manager gave me a three day ride my last year in package. The numbers are a joke because time studies were done 30-40 years ago. Different conditions.

Seems like they don't consider the fact that traffic density has probably doubled in that time in most areas. Traffic is among the biggest time killers. Then there's the issue of Orion which demands more left turns than right so you sit and wait all day.

On that note I wonder everyday why, based on traffic all day, everyday, that it seems 90% of the population is unemployed and is going for a ride while we're working. I get the different work schedules but that doesn't explain the out of control traffic at 10:45 am on a Wednesday.

We had two regular time studies in 36 years in my center and one of the VX2 coded virtual time studies. Didn't seem to affect my two routes much but some others said they lost time. A couple of old timers gave me some suggestions before my first one.
Just work safely/efficiently and let them worry about the numbers.

I got time studied on another guys run one time and the IE guy told me, park safe even if it's not close and use the handcart as much as possible. Turns out it added 60 minutes to the guys run.

Haven’t had an actual time study, where someone sits with you in years. It’s all virtual now as far as I know.

My vx2/v2x virtual, two sups emphasized scanning pkg at the car, dr/signature at point and stop complete at or near car as you return. The old time studies had three walk class/categories. Short, med and long. So maybe this helped. (((Shrugs)))
