October 2017 ---> April 2018 = 6 months...no?

Plus, I'll be making more from April 2018 to October 2018, when I originally was supposed to get a raise. I'll make $1167.60 more this year based on only a 35 minimum week, $1334.40 based on a 40 hour week. Please explain how this is a bad thing? Obviously, you would prefer the company not give anything in April and you can wait until October for your raise.
Most on here would complain if we were given a raise every quarter. Its in their DNA

If he goes after others all the time he gets a little of his own medicine. As for you defending him...birds of a feather....

Some of his own medicine? Are you kidding me? OF really is a piece of garbage, but he did expose you for what you are - an elderly man with the attention seeking mentality of a teenage girl. Catching a typo in one of his posts - he never professed to be an intellectual, only an average guy with the same job as you, who did much better than yourself - is like the guy in Goodfellas telling Tommy to go “friend” himself after Tommy shot him in the foot. That is to say, one weak rebuttal indeed!

Again, no substance, just personal attacks. It's what you do. I used my situation in the past to demonstrate that the company doesn't reward hard work. But that's in the past. I'm participating in this forum because I've been doing so close to 8 years now, it's a habit. In 2010 I was 48 and 7 years from my pension. Did that make me an old man then? We were discussing unions then and it amounted to something. Now we just have overgrown teenagers attacking everyone all the time because they have little life experience but think they've already figured everything out. I've said it before and it bears repeating: 20 years from now you're going to realize just how little you knew then and how immature you sounded. Meanwhile we have to put up with it.

Of course the company doesn’t reward hard work. Quite frankly, no institution (occupational, religious, or governmental) is really looking out for you. Therefore, you need to make things happen on your own; create you own wealth, define your own rules, and most importantly, never get sued by a former business partner.

And another difference between me and you is I have no problem sharing the mistakes I've made. But you'll try to project omniscience, even though you're anything but.

Mistakes? You worked your entire life and don't have squat to show for it. Bummer

Because I stuck with FedEx. But I do have a pension, will have a paid for house. My SS at 67, my wife's SS, her small VA disability check($256 a month for hurting her knees in the Army), what's left of my pension($228), and renting out our house will give us around $4000 a month. And overseas that's comparable to $8k+ a month in the States. We'll do just fine.

My god, man. Some dude trolls you, and you feel compelled to post actual numbers regarding your finances? What the :censored2: is your problem? I’ve just been tweaking you, and I’m sure OF has been doing the same as well - I voted for Trump for :censored2:s sake! Get your :censored2: together!

You seek validation from internet trolls, and that’s very telling. Furthermore, Charlie Sheen is not “winning” and neither are you.

You’ve been reading too many of oldfart’s made up stories.
I skip over any posts regarding how much their pension is, where they'll live, how much they make or something will/does cost, etc. The decision someone makes on where or how they'll live after retirement doesn't matter to me.
Its not a bad thing for those in progression but topped out people will actually lose money over time. The ones who most benefited are new hires that were hired prior to July of last year. 2 raises in less than a year!
True. Is it right? I don't think so. But, I don't make those decisions. IMO they should have just given the raises the same way they would have if it was October. 3% bump for those topped out.

We dont know we would have gotten 3% in oct. If they give topped out a raise and not the other steps it widens tbe gap between 9 and 10 resulting in more complaining.

The IRS assumes each paycheck is typical for the pay period, and extrapolates it to an annual total, then withholds funds based on that assumed total. IT DOESN'T TAX BONUSES AT A DIFFERENT RATE. You don't pay taxes until after the year end, so technically your withholdings are not taxes, but a security deposited against your eventual obligation.
Thank You, Mr. Myth
Understand this @Oldfart

It is not a bad thing, it is a good thing, but it is not something to crow about. How much did you lose when they initially moved raises from March to October? I kinda view it as making one whole.

I miss speaking with you Meat, lets try to talk this weekend, you pick the topic.
On the topic of verbally professing to be intellectual, you are correct, I don't recall that OF has ever made the claim. That being said he does make the claim through the context of many of his rebuttals. You do both. Let's talk this weekend.

That being said, do you care to add a personal progress report, or is being sued by a former business partner your excuse for being a failure?
