OK , I will bite, define "trace"

Sorry, I must be old school. Trace is the DOL or delivery order listing that EDD used to figure out and put in the DIAD. So the regular driver in this case WAS doing his job by following the DOL almost perfectly but the swing drivers were more efficient by not following the DOL.
