Hey all, so I was hired as a driver helper in a cold place. HR said "They will provide a jacket. We recommend snow pants and boots up to you to provide." So I read some of the just where jeans or kackis. Um would insulated overalls(brown) be too warm. Like I said cold place.

Where multiple layers to where you can shed some off if needed. I would rather have extra layers and not need them then to need extra layers and not have them.

I’m a seasonal helper again this year. So far I’m pretty underwhelmed with how it’s turning out. They cut my driver’s route on Monday so I didn’t get called. When I do work they limit me to four hours. Then they said to expect to work the day after Thanksgiving, so I spent less time with family to make sure I was home early. No call/email except to say I’ll be working tomorrow.

I wake up early and I’m ready to go and just waiting for some kind of communication. So far nothing.

The plus side is at least I’ll start getting bonuses soon for doing nothing. It just sucks because I’ve been skipping driving for Lyft at night thinking I’d actually have to wake up early. To just not get called in.

How do other seasonal workers survive on this :censored2:? Do they not have rent?

It seems as though a lot of them still live in mom and dads basement

To be fair I was living with my parents when I did it last year. Lol. This year I’ve got crazy debt and barely making it on my own. I think I should see it through though and hope they start giving me hours as peak finally ramps up.

Just got home. So sore. Paired up with a brand new driver and hit the streets tonight for my first day working. I'm in-between jobs (comfy desk job) and am really getting a workout. I look forward to the extra cardio, but did not know my muscles would already be so sore.

Newbie hired driver helper here. I haven't worked a single minute yet but not for the lack of desire :wink2:. I'm not even in it for the money.

So I can crossed off my list :teethy: , just kidding. I always wanted a job (even if its seasonal) where people may be actually happy to see you.
Sooo, you applied for a temporary, hard job just so people will be happy to see you???? Lemme guess...bored, lonely housewife?

Oops. Just realized you’re a male. Millennial living in Mom’s basement?

Drive safe and look twice...always! Slow down.
This week I am finally getting some hours. Yesterday... 7 hours, and today 10 hours. Yep... I am a little sore tonight I think.
Started out on the golf cart and ended up in the big car with a driver. Woohoo... I hope I get these hours every day. I did have a package of
food, drop off my cart and I ran over it. Demolished it. The wind was blowing 40 miles an hour today. I was so happy a driver came and rescued me! Okay... bring it on! :whistling:whistling:whistling
