Yea we had that and fought it and our management switched it from “on call” to “scheduled working”.
I called their bluff. I’ve called out at least 30 Saturdays this year and nothing has been done to me. They tried to give me a warning letter once and it was tossed.
A lot of our younger people forced 6 are scared of calling out.

Yup back when I started I had to call in to see if there was work available
